Mr & Mrs Smith is a film first released in June 2005. It has been described as an action/comedy/adventure/romance film so has something for everybody. The film was directed by Doug Liman and runs for 122 minutes. It is certified as a 15 due to some moderate sexual references and quite a bit of violence.
------- PLOT ------ The film begins with Mr & Mrs Smith seeking marriage guidance counselling with the film going on to explain how the married couple ended up needing counselling.
To the outside world Mr & Mrs Smith seem like an average married couple leading ordinary lives but behind closed doors its a very different story. The pair lead completely separate lives away from home and each has a secret job of which the other has no idea what.
Eventually each learns of the others past and current secrets and the film follows them trying to deal with the lies and secrets each has told as well as the emotional ties they have with each other. They face an added problem that other parties are trying to kill them both.
They have to decide whether to go their separate ways so as to not get killed or stay together and fight for their marriage.

---------- Review ---------- This is apparently the film in which Brad and Angelina got together during and you can see why. Their on screen chemistry is evident throughout the whole film, making this film a better watch than maybe it should be.
Vince Vaughn, as ever, provides a great comedy supporting role to the main leads of Brad and Angelina, though is nothing really different from other parts he has played in other films.
Considering their acting capabilities I don't believe this film pushes Brad and Angelinas abilities to the full but they play their parts well and provide great eye-candy for both men and women!
This certainly isn't the best film I have ever seen but it is well worth a watch. Its certainly not one to have you glued to the screen in anticipation of what will come next but if your after a light-hearted comedy film with a bit of action involved them this is perfect for the occassion.
The action scenes involving Brad and Angelina are hardly believeable either. For example towards the end there is a stand off between Brad and Angelina and a host of people trying to kill them and you don't need much of an imagination to guess who wins. How you can have hundreds of people shooting at you and not get shot is beyond me - this pair must have 9 lives!!
However, this is a film that I could quite happily watch again and again should there be nothing else on the television. Its fun, entertaining and action packed (believeable or not!). Its one of those films which is quite bad in some senses but you actually end up enjoying watching it. Also, it may not be believeable and may not be to the taste to those who like films that go that bit 'deeper' but I suppose the idea of a film is that you can lose yourself in something thats not reality so this film may be completely unbelieveable at times - but that doesn't have to be a bad thing and you can still enjoy it!!!
----------- Summary ----------- In my opinion Brad and Angelina have done, and are capable of doing better films. The scripts are well-written for this type of film, though totally unbelievable for real life so provided your a dreamer and not a realist you should get some pleasure out of watching this film. I'd call it a no-brainer as you don't have to work your brain too hard to follow the film plot lines.
Its purely meant for some light-hearted comedy entertainment with a bit of action thrown in and its exactly what it delivers. Also, anything which lets me drool over Brad Pitt for an hour and a half is good enough for me.
Certainly not the worst film I have ever seen, in fact I quite enjoyed it but as my school reports used to say - could do better!!!
