Advantages: Very Cheap Disadvantages: Not Multi Regional
I was fed of up going to the video shop only to find that the majority of the new films and the titles which I wanted to see had only been released on DVD and were not available on video.
I do have a DVD player in my living room but I often like to lay in bed and watch a film and this is why I decided to buy a cheap DVD Player for my bedroom.
The main criteria for my purchase was price, quite simply the cheaper the better and the cheapest one available in the Argos was an Alba 165 at £29.99.
Appearance
My first impression when I lifted it out of the box was very favourable, it was silver in colour and very slim line with a very modern appearance. The overall depth of the DVD Player is only a couple of inches but the front of player tapers to give the impression that it is actually much slimmer than that. The depth ...

Advantages: Excellent performances in a perfect setting Disadvantages: Very minor quibbles
's employment really did happen!
By 1778, Mozart's composition style had developed to the point where his violin sonatas are much more of an equal partnership between violin and keyboard. During this year while he was in Mannheim and Paris, he composed a set of 6 sonatas which are featured on this DVD. This was a vital step for Mozart. Not only was it a good source of income to have the works published, but it also served to spread his music around a much wider audience than would otherwise have been possible. So these works, while perhaps not the most widely known amongst the general public, are a vital stepping stone inMozart's development ...
Advantages: Cheap, small, easy to use Disadvantages: Over time stops playing recorded discs
I purchased a AlbaDVD62XI from Argos about a year ago as I wanted a cheap DVD player than played recorded DVDs. This is the cheapest I could find (based on other reviews that it played copied discs).
The DVD player worked fine for about 3 or 4 months before I started having issues. After that time the DVD player began skipping and lost the ability to read recorded discs. Nothing had happened in that time (The player had not been dropped or even moved), so I am still baffled to this day as to why it happened. I know someone else who has the exact same player and they have had the same issues, although it took a little bit longer to happen.
In conclusion - The DVD player is still playing normal DVD's now (2 years down the line), but If you are looking for a cheap DVD player that plays recorded discs (as I was), spend a little bit ...
