DVD Description
Features the war films MOSQUITO SQUADRON, 633 SQUADRON, and A BRIDGE TOO FAR. In MOSQUITO SQUADRON, an elite squadron of Mosquito aircraft is tasked with destroying a secret German rocket factory located deep beneath a French chateau used to house Allied POWs. 633 SQUADRON is a World War II story of a group of daring Mosquito flyers who attempt to bring down a cliff which overhangs a German munitions factory in a Norwegian fjord. A BRIDGE TOO FAR gives an account of the Battle of Arnhem during 1944, part of an Allied attempt to expedite the end of the war with a costly operation to capture six bridges connecting Holland to Germany.
...This black and white film really is one of the all time classic war films.
The film is set in 1942 of the Second World War and follows the events of the specially formed RAF 617 Squadron. This squadron was given the task of destroying the huge dams in the Ruhr valley of Germany in order to flood the steel factories of the area and also to deprive them of the water needed for the steel making process.
The dams were heavily defended and so a special bomb was needed and the brilliant inventor Barnes Wallis was given the challenge of how to attack the dams. Wallis came up with the idea of a bouncing bomb that would detonate under the water next to the dam wall and destroy the dam using the power of the water behind the dam to help break down the wall. The task needed a high quality of pilot and so the special squadron was formed of some...

Advantages: Good Story, novel idea Disadvantages: Over the top on costumes....
...This film from the seventies, was the writers attempt at trying to show mankind what could happen if the cold war didn't stop in time. This film is about germ warfare and not nuclear war as one would imagine when you talk about the cold war. Based on the book by Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend", this adaptation, is not as good as I feel it could have been, but never the less Charlton Heston plays a very good part. Directed by Boris Sagal (MosquitoSquadron)
The Story....
Robert Neville (Charlton Heston) is the only person who is not infected by the biological germ used in the Worlds briefest of Wars. Within days of the use of the weapon, millions die. Neville survives by scavenging in the day and returning to his penthouse flat which is barricaded and heavily protected from the 'Family' at sun down.
The 'Family' led by zealot named...
