The Monty Python team get together for this last feature-length outing. The Pythons explain it all in this episodic, bawdy adventure as they satirise religion, birth control,...
more...British politics, Americans, hospitals and of course sex. Amongst the highlights are the 'Every Sperm Is Sacred' episode that starts off the film, and the grim reaper visiting a bourgeois dinner party where there are some fishy goings on, and the gross Mr Creosote.

Full review
This DVD is the same as the original but many more extras. It is the six pythons at their best, the film is more of a number of sketches put together rather than following one person directly, it starts of with birth and ends with death, obviously not that simple and obviously extremely funny as it was made by the pythons. Although some of the pythons are not completely happy with the finished product i am, and if it was made any better i feel i would be put in hospital for laughing to much, and probably hooked up to the machine that goes PING! (you will get it if you watch the film) If you wich to find out more about the film and watch the pythons doing more funny things then i seriously suggest you watch all of the extras so you can get the full enjoyment from it.

The different sections of the film are-
Birth- in a hospital, with john cleese and graham chapman as the doctors, what make this funny is it may take a couple of views to pick up everything they are saying, when you do you realise how funny it is, where they operate is called the fetus frightening room this made me burst out laughing after i had caught drift of what they where saying.

Birth in the Third world- this scene did not make me laugh or even respond in any way good when i first watched it, and whenever i watched the film again i use to skip it out. However one day i just listenened to the song which is in the scene and i really enjoyed, it has great lyrics that are very funny and is done in the style of an 'oliver' song

Religious Education

Sex Education- it would be worrying if all sex ed lessons were like this. John cleese acts as the teacher and teaches them about sex ed by showing them a practical session. What make this scene funny is the fact that through having sex john cleese still acts as teacher, telling his pupils to look at him and to be quiet.

Physical Education- the classic pe teacher but with a twist, his school have never won any rugby points let alone a match. He wants to keep this record going but does so by being nasty and picky. In the match they play one of his students is going to score a try, however te teacher runs on and trips him up. What them makes me laugh, is how the teacher acts sad, and congratulates the boy on getting so far.

Fighting Each other- hilarious, during a busy war, some squad members meet up, they wish to show the appreciation for their leader they do this by giving him a clock, but a granfather clock at that. This is funny because it is just downright stupid they are trying to kill the opposition but manage to bring in clocks. The finale of thsi scene which is good is that none of them can explain the problem to the leader, whenever they try they get killed by a bullet, until everyone is dead
Military Education

Find The Fish-completely out of context of the film but somehow funny, People are asked to 'find the fish' in the little scene, when the scene begins jones has extended arms and does a dance that makes me crack up every time. Then on comes a monster looking creature in a suit.

Philosophy- set in a restaurant, a married couple don't choose what to eat but what to talk about. They have a choice of conversation and choose philosophy, but don't know anything about it. They start making up their own facts about philosophers, they always have a s in their name for example. They finally decide they don't want this conversation and the waiter apologises for poor service.

Live Donor transplant- this is a gory scene with two doctors, taking a liver out of a person, but they are still alive, one of the doctors speaks to th wife, and when it seems that he is hitting on her, 'What will you do when he is gone? will you remarry? however it eventually comes to, he only wants her liver.

Galaxy Song- sung by eric idle, it is factually funny, and is meant to put the lady from the last scene in perspective to the universe, how little she really is, a really well made song it is not really funny but you can admire the effort the pythons have put into it.

Mr Creosote- you may already know this character even if you have not watched the film. It is where a fat man enters a restaurant and orders everything in a bucket, he proceeds to projectile vomit everywhere, as the waiter -who is french- tries to catch it all in a bucket. When Mr creosote has finished he tempts him with . a small wafer thin mint. This line is incredibly funny and has know become well used in our house hold, when creosote finally eats it he explodes and covers everyone in the restaurant.

Good Death Guide- perhaps could be every mans dream, the criminal in this scene gets to choose how he is punsished, as long as he dies. What he chooses is to be chased by naked women until he falls off a cliff and lands in his 6 foot trench. The falling off the cliff perfectly into the trench is forseeable but still makes me laugh all the same

Grim Reaper- a group of friends are eating a meal when a Mr.Reaper turns up at the door, everyone in the house questions him, when finally the reaper drops the bombshell that they are all dead and it was the salmon mouse, i don't know what makes me laugh in this scene but it just does.

Christmas in Heaven song- Like the last song i didn't particularly like this song at first but after i had listened to it seperately if really hit me, once again it is not funny but is a piece of art, how it is made

Extras include-
Song sheets
Lost scenes
Alternate versions of songs
What Fish think
Deleted scenes
Commentary
Trailor for the john cleese version of the film

The film bases itself on the meaning of life and each section is sort analysed funnily, for example in the first sketch when a baby is being born, it shows how stupid doctors can be not caring at all about the patients but more about the equipment, it creats a hilarious viewing.

In another scene -fighting each other- it goes back to the zulu war and how silly the army officers were, and how little they worry, after an officer had a bite (his whole leg had been bitten off) they go in search of what bit it off and run into two people dressed as a tiger, making up excuses as why they did'nt bite.

Although the scenes in this film are put into a real life context but put a funny side on it. However when you look back on it it may seem funny but actually it is closer to real life than you could imagine and although it was made 20 years ago much of it can be put into real life and is still much funnier than 90% of material made today
