Advantages: Hilarious Disadvantages: Can be a push watching it the 5,000 time
..."Life Of Brian" sees the amazingly funny MontyPython team (John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, TerryJones, Graham Chapman and Terry Gilliam) take to the big screen for a spoof on the life of Christ.
Brian has been born on the same day and just next to the very stable that saw the coming of the Messiah. This is only the beginning of a whole host of events of mistaken identity and comical happenings.
Chapman, taking the lead role as Brian with everyone else playing just about all the other parts from Centurians to members of the People's Front Of Judea, from Prisoners to aliens, "Life Of Brian" is comic genius at it's very best - it makes you laugh, it offends and it' full of lines you can use at work.
Python was always at the front line of comedy, but this surpasses anything they have ever done. A true classic from the opening...

Advantages: Very silly and funny - Michael Palin is a genius Disadvantages: Everyone has now copied them, so it is a bit dated
...MontyPython have to be the most ground-breaking comedy team we have ever had. Sure you can say no and go on about Kids In The Hall and League of Gentlemen or the Fast Show - but all of these comedy teams learned from the Pythons.
MontyPython consited of John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, TerryJones and Terry Gilliam and this, one of their three feature films - "The Meaning Of Life" is just as funny as the other two ("Life Of Brian" "Holy Grail").
Taking us through the stages of life from birth right up to heaven and through sex education, fighting each other, and live organ transplants - the film is an absolute hoot and includes the hilarious "Penis Song".
It seems that people either love Python or hate it - there is usually no in-between. It is very silly, very stupid and very funny. If Paul Weller...

Advantages: an amazing 6-disk boxset showing all the actors best bits. Disadvantages: There is no film content, only sketches
...Six disks of pure montypython brilliance!!
Each disk contains approx 1 hour off footage, comprising ofinterviews with the actors andmost importantly thier bits sketches.
Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, TerryJones and Michael Palin are all individually hillarious and put together, well, thats just amazing.
Certificate 12 as they contain moderate language, sex references and comic bloddy violence.
Some of my Personal favourite sketches would have to be
The cheese shop
The bishop
Self defence
and the fish slap dance
In my mind the most funny sketches ever!!
The cheese shop includes john cleese as the man who is wanting to buy the cheese, he goes into the shop and repeatidly asks for differnt cheese and each time the shop keeper says he hasent got any. Anyway this goes on for agais until he shoots the shopkeeper...
