After seeing this movie at the cinema's, when it was released, and then seeing it a second time on DVD at the weekend, i realized it's a classic Jennifer Lopez Movie. Jennifer, who plays Charlie, is a single girl, who has different jobs, some including Dog walking and waitressing.One day Charlie meets Kevin, a doctor, and everything seems to be going fine with them, until Charlie meets his mother...
Jane Fonda plays "Monster-in-law", Viola. Viola does everything in her power to break the two up, by trying to make Charlie realize that she doesn't fit into her or her son's lifestyle. But nothing she can do or say, stops them being together, or getting married, so at the end of the movie we see a typical Jennifer Lopez ending... they get married, and everything's happily ever after.

As you can see and read, different people, different opinions. So i guess it's one of them movie's that you can either love or hate. If you like Jennifer Lopez's past movies, you'll like this. Even though it has a different storyline to her last movies, i have to say, it's very simillar still. Lopez always seems to make movies where a man and a woman are attracted to each other, but something stands in the way of it, but then they overcome it, they get married and everything's Happily ever after. But in real life, that doesn't always happen, so i think in a way, it sets a bit of a bad example of real life.
However, this movie is extremly funny if you feel like watching a carefree movie, without having to think (Which i'm sure everyone likes to do once in a while) Jane Fonda plays the part of the "Monster-in-Law" Really well, and has you laughing thoughout. I'd say Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda have really good on-stage chemistry together, they know how to make a film funny.
