Review of The World Is Not Enough DVD by blackhawk1984

Advantages: Fine performances, and a good plot
Disadvantages: Christmas Jones does not look like a nuclear physicist

...The plot: Sir Robert King who is a British oil tycoon, and a friend of M is assassinated by Renard, an international terrorist. MI-6 had sent agent 009 to kill Renard. Although 009 had shot Renard in the head, he did not die. The bullet since then has slowly made its way towards his cerebral cortex; numbing him of any physical sensation in the process. Although the bullet will eventually kill him, Renard grows more powerful with each passing day, as he is able to exert himself more than any other human. M feels that Elektra King who is King's daughter, and the inheritor of the oil business is under threat. James Bond is sent to protect her. The World Is Not Enough
Review of The World Is Not Enough DVD by emz382382

Advantages: Decent story and great sound provide a good all round Bond experience
Disadvantages: Not the best Bond film made so far

...Renard, taking part in some spectacular stunts along the way. Of these, the best has to be the fantastic ski chase, with Bond being attacked from behind, the side and even from above. Overall, this film would be perfect to rent on a Saturday night in with your mates. It's not the best Bond film, but it is certainly good enough to please all Bond fans. A good effort all round. As for the DVD version, it is completely compatible with surround sound to give the ultimate audio Bond experience. There are also plenty of behind-the-scenes extras and 'making of' mini movies on the DVD to keep those hard-core fans entertained for another hour or so.... Read review

Bond is back
Review of James Bond 007 - The World is not Enough by diceman

Advantages: Robbie Coltrane
Disadvantages: Death of Q

...James Bond is back for the nineteenth time and Pierce Brosnan returns for his third crack at the suave secret agent. The World Is Not Enough is the best Bond film so far with enormous action sequences which is balanced by a plot that has interesting twists and turns. Robert Carlyle plays the evil villain Renard with great gusto but in my opinion Pierce Brosnan and Robert Carlyle are upstaged by Robbie Coltrane who reprises the role he played in Goldeneye. While the James Bond formula is always predictable it is always watchable. extras on the DVD include a making of documentary and a tribute to the late Desmond Llewelyn.... Read review
