But unlike the other Gundams, where the problems have always been political,this time is biological This war is a struggle for supremacy between genetically-enhanced "Coordinators" and the unmodified "Naturals" of Earth.
The Story starts off with the hero "Kira Yamato" a coordinator ,Living peacefully on a neutral space colony. (All his friends are naturals) He's a happy person, Until the colony is attacked by ZAFT ( the Coordinator Army) , after a series of events, Kira Ends Up piloting a Gundam against his own kind to protect his friend. He is then forced into a battle again the coordinators in order to protect his friends..... As the Story goes on, Kira will meet his old Childhood Friend Asuran, who is now in the Zaft army, and now his enemy.... This Volume one, isn't that interesting , For the most part it introduces you to the characters & the universe and helps you to understand the characters feelings. But if you get Volume 2, that's where all the real action begins ! Also the music in this anime is GREAT ! I even listen to it sometimes :-)
Advantages: Price value, for 2 discs, original audio, with excellent subs. Disadvantages: more episodes on one disc will be great
...them smarter faster and bettern Mobile suit pilots, which lead to the earth federation banning genetic improvement and the extermination of all genetically superior race. The story starts with the invasion of the new humans on a neutral colony in space which was developing new gundam and weapons for the earth federation, the new humans steal the new technology and end up destroying the colony.
This first dvd contains 6 episodes, which is perfect ... ...also shows racism in a new level of not just colour but of genes, but also showing how even though such a war is going on there are still some who do not hate.
The special features of this dvd are the subtitiles and the choice in language, 2 disc dvd set, with 3 episodes on each disc, dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. approximately 180mins in length all together.
Personal experiece, was seeing war in a new way, but also a new view on future discrimination. ...
