this console mainly to play games because we have the Xbox for that which all-in-all i find a better GAMING console! However we use it as a blu-ray player, when we brought it, it was a relitively cheap, good quality blu-ray player comparitive to the others on the market at the same time and I have to say it is brilliant as a blu-ray player, plays all DVDs we have tried in truly stunning high quality HD! The menus however are not to my liking at all. So all-in-all I'd say if you were going to buy one of these buy it as a blu-ray player with the capabilities of playing games not as a games machine with the capability of playing blu-rays! ...
Advantages: It's a media center, great games, blu-ray, excellent online integration and interface Disadvantages: Secondary controllers are not cheap, can't play PS2 games on it.
I joined the console world recently having been a die-hard fps player for years and was very pleasantly surprised with my new PS3. The toss up was between a Wii, the Xbox and the PS3 and I went for the PS3 basically because of the blu-ray player. Also, Microsoft won't want to turn the Xbox into too much of a media centre so as not to dent the 'Windows media centre' sales, and the Wii whilst fun is old tech.
When it arrived I discovered more reasons apart from gaming that the PS3 is great and here they are:
1) It's a media center, e.g. plug in a normal USB hard drive and play music files, play video files view pics. Sweet.
2) You can get a relatively cheap remote control and your PS3 instantly replaces your DVD player and is a nice Blu-Ray player too.
3) This slim PS3 is really quiet and consumes less power.

This review is on the 2006, trilogy, MissionImpossible3 starring Tom Cruise, as IFM agent Ethan Hunt. Now I was a really big fan of the first missionimpossible, and then kind of let down by the second one, however again like the first one I liked the final instalment, because it was so much different in terms of storyline, style, action scenes and so on.
The film was directed by JJ Abrams, who most people may no from such film as Cloverfeild, and TV shows such as Alias and Lost. He's a brilliant director, he does some of the most intense action sequences, and it pulls of really well.
For people whom haven't seen the missionimpossible film, the main background plot is that Ethan Hunt works for a special government agency known as the IMF, ImpossibleMission Force, who is like a MI6 type organization. There goals are to stop all ...
