Advantages: Quite simply one of the most well made Chinese films ever. Disadvantages: Slightly over indulgent.
Miracles stands out in Chinese cinema, especially for the time because it was the most expensive film that had been made. He was being given more and more freedom in relation to the cash his movies brought in, and by this time had complete freedom. Advantages: Perfect jackie chan film for the kids Disadvantages: a tiny bit long winded for adults
I have no kids but know for sure this film is brilliant entertainment for them to watch. I know this because i first watched it when i was a teen and it remained one of the most vivid and memorable in my childhood. The only thing was it took me over ten years to remember the title, then purchasing it a few days later.
The storyline is great although unrealistic for us now adults but hey this is a kids film! It bases Jackie chan's role as a mainland ... ...the Gangster times of the 1930's to find work. Things dont go according to plan and he, by being a natural do gooder somehow rescues a boss of the local gang from immedate death and becomes the new leader of this notorious gang.
So jackie inherits his new profession and the film shows his journey to becoming a do gooder gangster. very funny film with great fight scenes brilliant costume design and background scenes
Starring Jackie Chan, Anita Mui, ...
