...I love every MidsomerMurders that has ever been made and this one especially. It's another great MidsomerMurders, with a really unexpected spin. With Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby (played by John Nettles) and Sergeant Gavin Troy (played by Daniel Casey) it's about grace and deep love. I particularly loved it because of it's unexpected twist. It was hard for me to understand why the murder was commited, until I watched it again (my sisters didn't need to). I would recomend this to anyone who loves a good old mystery or just likes to have a guess at who's the killer. I would advise watching earlier episodes to understand who's who, but if you catch on quickly, you'll probably be OK. Will you be able to guess who the murderer is? I couldn't. But I still loved it....

~ The Plot ~
In the quaint village of Midsomer Mallow, the residents are preparing for 'The perfect village' competition, and so everyone is busy with food, drink, music, entertainment and everything else to make sure everything really is perfect. And all was going well until a local thief - and renowned 'ladies man' Peter Drinkwater, turns up causing trouble …. But is later found dead.
His death was a horrific murder, and unfortunately for the residents of the village there is no shortage of suspects, as most had either means or motive.
After trying to keep the murder quiet, the competition goes ahead, the judges arrive (one of which is Joyce Barnaby, Tom's wife) and all is going seemingly well (in spite of the murder)… Until the murderer strikes again….
And so it's up to DCI Barnaby...
