million people?Conquistadors, recounting "tales of heroism and endurance, but also of immeasurable greed and staggering brutality", explains how the "lure of gold", the attributes of individual leaders and the hand of fate made this possible. The book tells of alien cultures meeting for the first time; of Cortes conquering Mexico, Francisco Pizarro's clash with the Incas, the search for El Dorado, and Cabeza de Vaca's years spent peacefully amongst Native Americans. Tying in with a BBC television series in which Michael Wood follows in the footsteps of these explorers, this copiously illustrated and attractively presented book incorporates glimpses of his own journeys. A thought-provoking, balanced and not excessively gory account,Conquistadorsreveals how Europeans got bank vaults of gold, potatoes on their dinner tables and lupins in their gardens, while the Native Americans suffered "devastating cultural loss" and gained ravaging diseases. Feeling that "blame or regret are pointless", Wood's focus is on understanding the events and explaining how the world still lives in the conquest's wake. Debate on the morality of the conquest and on what it means to be human occurred in the 16th century and questions on the treatment of traditional cultures, the exploitation of the natural world and globalisation remain as living legacies of the Conquistadors. --Karen Tiley

...I am 14. Underline that several times if you want to. I know very well that I should not legally see this film (certificate is 15 for those living under a rock for the past 8 or 9 years) but it sounded so good, I just couldn't turn it down!
Well, ok, maybe I could.
The hyped up film "The Blair Witch Project" was a budget movie, about 3 kids who go into the woods and get lost. Sounds scary? Perhaps - throw in a few stick figures, some gory stuff in a backpack, and you'd have a pretty terrifying movie if you ask me.
Plot - - -
It all starts when Heather Donahue (referred to as H for rest of op) wants to make a short documentary for her university about the spooky goings-on up at the woods in Burkittsville. She brings along a few mates (Joshua Leonard (J) and Michael Williams (M)), sets up camp, puts a few bangers on the barbie...

Later Michael, Lincoln and Sarah think its a happy ending but Bill Kim shows up and is about to shoot someone and so Sarah shoots him in the chest and the police chase them and Michael and Sarah run to a small house and the police are saying "we dont take kindly to murder on panamanian soil", so Michael takes the blame and gets sent to a Panamainien Prison with his old friends T-bag, Mahone, and Bellick. Big cliff hanger at the end.
I got really happy when word was out about season three and I have seen the episodes up to date and the wait was well worth it. I cant wait to see what happens in the end.

...that day at the Crashdown.
285 South
In one of my all-time favourite episodes, Michael and Maria drive to Texas in order to find a mysterious dome that Michael has been having visions of. Their banter as they drive and then end up in a cheap motel is often hilarious and hints of the romance to come.
Blood Brother
Max is in a car accident and is seriously injured. But if the hospital sees his blood, they'll know he is not human, so Liz asks Alex, who does not yet know that Max is an alien, to substitute his blood for Max's.
Heat Wave
In the midst of a heat wave, the people of Roswell pair off romantically. After seeing Michael and Maria hook up, Liz wonders why Max doesn't want to be with her. This is one of my favourite episodes, and (spoiler) we finally see Max and Liz kiss!
Into the Woods
The gang goes on a school-hosted Father...
