About a year ago if someone said have you seen Michael Mcintyre live I would of said Michael Who? But appearences on Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You and a utterly comical performance on Live at the Apollo have put this comedian on the map and he deserves to be there because he is a genius on the circuit.
This DVD had me laughing a hell of a lot with Michael's witty ways of observing everyday life from his family to getting lost and going on holiday. He follows a similar format to Lee Evans as he talks about those sorts of experiences but what is great about Michael is that it's all new to everybody and it's stunningly hilarious. His impressions get me hooked because they are so bemusingly accurate especially how he can get his voice so high.
The downside is that he is only on stage for an hour and a half which when watching flys by took quickly and you want to see more.
This comedian is one to watch out as he is a rising star and starts his big arena tour in september 2009 which if you haven't got tickets for you are going to be missing out. Get this DVD if you want to be laughing constently and watch a comedian who in a few years will be massive and you can say I watched him in his early days.
