Miami Vice/Scarface DVD

Advantages: 3 legendary Movies!
Disadvantages: NONE!

...every person will have the DVD and some posters situated somewhere within their home. Also look at the game, GTA Vice City. This game was inspired by the movie when looking at the choice of music and weapons used in it. This movie itself is worth the price being asked for the 3 disc DVD package and so it is obvious that the package is a great deal! Hence the reason why I personally bought it myself. Scarface: 10/10 Casino: This has to be one of my favourite Robert De Niro movies of all time! At first, I was unsure of the movie and I hadn't read any reviews of it, but as it was in the box set I thought I would buy it as I already knew of, and loved Scarface and Carlito's way. Advantages: great lines, terrific performance from Pacino, the cocaine movie
Disadvantages: Pacino rehashed his acting in this pic in many later films

...Set in the height of cocaine’s popularity in the 1980s Scarface is De Palma’s update of Hawke’s classic film. Al Pacino makes the lead uniquely his own as the ex-con Cuban refugee newly landed in Miami and looking to get rich as quickly as possible. After a number of fantastic set pieces (including a chainsaw killing cut for the UK version) Tony Montana (Pacino) starts on his violent path to extreme and tasteless wealth. The movie features some of the most classic (and quotable) dialogue from any gangster/crime movie and is probably one of the most culturally significant with a huge influence on rap music, drug dealers themselves and later crime pics. Manages to be hugely enjoyable and still point fingers by making a point about the real politics of the drug game.... Read review

Advantages: Intense acting,exciting mucical scores,numerous high octane shoot outs and brilliant acting from Al Pacino.
Disadvantages: None unless you count cheesy 80's pop music here and there a bad thing hehe.

...because in each film i've seen Pacino in he never feels like he's acting, never, it's as if he's the character he's playing, pure genious. If your wondering where Grand Theft auto: Vice city got many of it's ideas from look no further, the whole game is so similar to that of the film the landcape the vercetti mansion in the game is the same as Tony Montana's in scarface the red house, carpets and the main office especially. It just shows how influential Scarface was that they based a succesful console/pc game on it hehe and what a game! Compared with the later acting roles of Al Pacino this is his best. Carlito's way made a decade later would follow a similar risque type storyline and extrodinarily powerful acting from Al Pacino, the genre seems to suit Pacino like a fine suit, certain family comedy's and political films based on congress...
