DVD Description
Professional anthropologist and rabid heavy-metal fan Sam Dunn devoted himself to making the most complete portrait of the heavy metal scene every created; the result, METAL - A HEADBANGER'S JOURNEY, is a resounding success. Mixing his academic eye with his personal love for the genre, Dunn travels from the clubs of Sunset Boulevard to the dark forests of Norway in an attempt to understand the ongoing phenomenon of metal music. He tackles subjects of sexuality, religion, violence, and death, and talks to some of the superstars of the metal world, including Tony Iomii of Black Sabbath, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Lemmy of Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, and the members of Slipknot and Cannibal Corpse (whose albums have been banned in Australia). The highly engaging film provides fascinating history and insight for viewers unfamiliar with metal music while simultaneously offering up essential viewing for metalhead fanatics.

...brothers into a flask and back through hells gates before his father dissappears.
Back on earth, the brothers are taking the places of priest, politicians and even referees to try and make everyone believe in the ethos that evil is good. Nicky is joined in his quest by two headbangers and a talking dog (haven't seen that before maybe in men in black have we) thats about it for the storyline, apart from a small lovey dovey sub plot, which is pointless and worthless but seemingly required for every movie now.
The jokes are flat, thin, sarcastic, and unfunny, and unless you are an american teenager into heavy metal, you won't get half of them. Its very sad to see a comic talent such as sandler putting out such dire rubbish that even die hard fans start to question his choice of roles. There are lots of interesting moments, refferring to most...

Advantages: Good loud music Disadvantages: Not very long
...Slipknot were the first "Metal" band that i liked. I loved the anger and frustration in their lyrics, the emotion in their screams. I got this around a year ago and it got me back into them.
Welcome to our Neighborhood
The length isn't really what i would want for my money. It is only 20 minutes long! But it does manage to fit a lot into those 20 minutes. It contains "Surfacing"(live), "Wait and bleed" (live), The "Banned by MTV" video for "Spit it out", Stolen band home video footage and exclusive interview footage.
The editing isn't of the standard you would expect from a band on Roadrunner Records. It is tacky and slow. However it has a raw unedited feel to some of it. The live performances have to be the highlights of the video although the banned video is pretty freaky and most likely unseen by most people buying the video...

Advantages: The beautiful, beautiful music by Danny Elfman Disadvantages: More special features would add to the DVD
...Watching this film could send shivers down the stiffest spine.
Made in 1990, and starring famed actors Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, 'Edward Scissorhands' is a beautiful story .
Edward was created by an Inventor in an eerie mountain top mansion. Sadly just as the hands to Edward are announced , the inventor falls to his death leaving Edward with shears of metal for hands.
Bought back home by an ever-sweet Avon lady (played by Dianne Wiest) , Edward begins his journey of suburbian life along with a loving friendly and nosy neighbours.
The shy Edward is greeted with fearful stituations and his love for the daughter Kim is portrayed as an unsure burden for poor Edward.
This heartwarming occasion is a classically modern fairytale....
