With the incredible amount of extra features included on this DVD you will be plonking yourself down for a considerable time to come.
All of the features are perfectly matched to the style of the film. My particular favourites are the out-takes (an excellent one involving the out of control ball seen - without the ball) and the scene editing workshop. At least you can have a go at putting a film together.
My only criticism is that the whole DVD fills you with a feeling of greed and you can't help but want more.

You have to be careful when reading these opinions because although the title refers to the special edition of this disc I noticed that some of the opinions are talking about the limited edition edition. In a wonderful attempt to make money out a popular film Columbia Tri-star have released two versions both with 'Special' style titles. The first being 'Men In Black Special Edition', a title usually reserved for the second release of a film. To clear ... ...cover, featuring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. This itself is an excellent DVD containing not only the usual Trailers and Character profiles but a host of other interesting features. There is a wonderful on-screen commentry with director Barry Sonnenfeld and Tommy Lee Jones. You can see thier sillouetes at the bottom of the screen and they even draw circles on the screen around what they are talking about. It's all very interesting, although there ...

men in black i saw this film only yesterday the reason is because i was board though this film has been out for some time now but i watched it any way.

Men In Black is just such a comedy, played very firmly with tongue-in-cheek and not to be taken at all seriously. The story is simple yet very rich & entertaining (although it also received a lot of bad press from some quarters because it was seen as racist - an allegory for repatriating illegal immigrants from the US!)
The two lead stars, Smith & Jones, don't have to stretch themselves too much, acting wise, since they're both on familiar ground, ... ...his character mannerisms from where Independence Day left off.
I was quite surprised with TLJ, I've never really thought of him as being the comedy-film-type, but he plays his role with a great deal of mellowed drollery, not letting Smith's antics wind him up too much, which is typical of most buddy partnerships in comedy movies (Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop, 48 Hours etc) ...

Advantages: Loads of extras, great effects Disadvantages: weak story
The extras that are loaded onto the two version of the DVD are amazing and set a new standard for all to follow.
There is a single DVD and a double DVD both "special editions". The difference being you get slightly more extras with the double includign teh chance to direct your own scene. Having played with a friends copy, only the devoted fan or film buff with use this more than twice. I decided just to get the single disc. This in itself has loads ... ...things where put on for the sake of saying its got extras. Do we really need to have the actors and other crew talking over the film saying how much they really enjoyed making this scene or what trick was played on this actor in that scene ? The access menus are good and well thought out.
The story itself ? Well, very much tongue in cheek and poking fun at itself and other sci fi films. Barrell of laughs ? no, only a few chortles and acknowledgements ...
