Men in black is an comedy adaptation taken from the original comic book stories. The Men in Black are a secret government agency who keeps tabs on all aliens who have settled or visit earth.
The story starts with James (Will Smith) a LAPD cop who is chasing someone who happens to be an alien, who ends up committing suicide by falling of the top of a building. As James witnessed the aliens eyeballs blinking and using a strange weapon which disintegrate when it hit the ground ‘K’ (Tommy Lee Jones) erases the memory of all knowledge of the alien, but sees the potential of him becoming an agent and sends him to the MIB headquarters to be tested. He soon finds himself being selected out of other highly trained men. He then starts his change into ‘J’ erasing all known trace of his former identity and fingerprints to become a MIB agent.
‘J’ and ’K’ are then sent on the mission to find the galaxy which has been stolen by a bug alien, the owners of this galaxy put the blame on the MIB and threaten to destroy earth if they don’t find it. On their way they come across a medical examiner (Linda Fiorentino) who helps them find the galaxy.
This film is highly entertaining and very funny especially when ‘J’ helps with the alien giving birth or his mini gun powerful enough to make him fly back 50 feet into a car windscreen. There are brilliant special effects with original looking aliens, well worth the watch. I just hope that the sequels are as good.

Advantages: humour of script, brilliant casting, and great theme tune! Disadvantages: pretty silly plot but this somehow adds to the comedy of the film
