Men In Black (MIB) stars Wil Smith (of Prince of Bel Air fame) and Tommy Lee Jones as a master alien detective and his new apprentive.
Earth is visited by many aliens, and an organization as mysterious as the FBI monitors the whereabouts of these aliens. A rogue alien starts to terrorize the earth and it is our intrepid heroes job to track down this alien and bring it to justice.
The movie features a soundtrack that includes a hit by Wil Smith. This, for me, is about the best part of the film. Although the movie is supposed to be a light relief from many other alien movies around at the time, the movie barely managed to raise a grin or chuckle, although there were a few funny parts.
The combination of Wil Smith and Tommy Lee Jones was very good, melding a wise-cracking homeboy with a straight faced texan man, and produces a likeable duo.
The plot was scarse, and although some of the effects were excellent, I left the movie feeling a little let down. The resulting movie is more like an old B movie than a Hollywood classic, and brings me in mind of those classics like 'Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes'.
The effects are very good, with some excellent effects of humans warping into aliens, but this did little to disguise a poor movie.
Wil Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have produced far better alien movies than this, and I hope to see them together in other films. But leave this one on the shelf and rent Independance day instead!

I quite liked this movie (see my review if you have time :o) although I would have to agree that the plot was a little thin and the characterisation underdeveloped along with a film lasting only 90mins. I do hope a sequel is going to happen cus with a bit more care & attention MIB could be a great, rather than good, movie. V.Good Op:o)
