"Monumental personal problems." That's D&D Advertising executive Amanda's (Heather ... more
Locklear) sarcastic term. She's referring to Alison (Courtney Thorne-Smith), but inMelrose Place'sessential third season, everyone's got 'em. Michael (Thomas Calabro) suffers amnesia from his near-fatal hit and run (Michael's actually a sweet guy when he has amnesia, and the defeated look on wife Sydney's face when she realizes that Michael the scum is back is priceless). Jane's (JosieBissett) business partner (Andrew Williams) stalks Sydney (Laura Leighton) and bilks Jane out of her savings. Sydney is ultimately framed for trying to run down Michael and is later kidnapped twice--TWICE--once by a charismatic cult leader (Ramy Zada from Dark Justice; and when will that "It's Too Hot to Sleep" cult classic be released on DVD?). Alison wrestles with exposing her father (the great Monte Markham), a pillar of the community, as a child molester, and later sinks into alcoholism.Jake (Grant Show) becomes the target in an elaborate revenge plot and later is pitted against his resentful half brother (Dan Cortese). Jo's (Daphne Zuniga) baby is kidnapped twice--TWICE--and it's only eight weeks old! Kimberly (a magnificent Marcia Cross), well, space doesn't permit all the manipulations, double-crosses, and betrayals she perpetrates before finally going crazy. And Amanda meets her cunning and ruthless match in Dr. Peter Burns (Jack Wagner), the new hospital chief of staff, who, as he so bluntly tells Michael, doesn't play games and takes no crap. And we haven't even mentioned Brooke (Kristin Davis) as the scheming, spoiled rich girl who comes between sap Billy (Andrew Shue) and Alison. Yes, season 3 is really something, as acknowledged that year by the classic show about nothing, Seinfeld, in the season 6 episode "The Beard," in which Jerry is forced to admit that Melrose Place is his secret guilty pleasure ("Oh that Michael," he rants, "I hate him, he's just so smug."). Season 3 is grand, over-the-top fun, a real disc-grabber (the DVD equivalent of a page-turner). Longtime viewers will appreciate the affectionate skewering the show receives from comedians John Aboud and Michael Colton in a bonus feature that presents an overview of the season (they're right; the name of Jake's boat, Pretty Lady, is the lamest ever). Those who turn up their nose atMelrose Placeare encouraged to give season 3 a look. To paraphrase the apocalyptic season finale's famous last words: "It's not what you thinkit's better!" --Donald Liebenson

Family Guy. Where to Start....
Out of all 6 Series' of Family Guy Season Three is one of the Best.
21 Episodes, Very long Runtime, 3DVDSet, Very Cheap Price!
In my opinion, After watching all 21 episodes (aswell as alot of episodes from other seasons), It is EXTREMELY worth the Money. Full of cheap, short laughted but also pure, classic comedy, I Guarantee that it will make you laugh.
You can expect to pay around £10-£18 for this Item. Which, frankly, is pretty good for some ''Freakin' Sweet'' Comedy.
Season 3 is also the Longest Season of Family Guy to date! Most of the other DVDs include about 11-17 Episodes, So if you haven't Watched Family Guy Before, Season 3 is the Place to Be!!
Well I've said just about all I can Say about Family Guy - Series3 - DVDBoxSet.

Advantages: excellent drama very well acted Disadvantages: very few extras
This is one of the best dramas of the 1980s. The boxset has all 3series and the bonus 'reunion' episode. The series concentrates on the women's POW camp. The three series are based on real life experiences. Despite this being an excellent drama it is not the type of thing you can say 'I enjoyed watching that' Despite it having a 12 certificate I personally wouldn't recommend it as suitable for anyone under 15.
During the three series we see the women suffer at the hands of the Japanese guards. Food rations being cut, low medical supplies and death could only be around the corner for one or even all of the women.
The cast are fantastic. Stephanie Cole (better known as Diana Trent in Waiting for God) as Doctor Beatrice and Burt Kwouk as the sinister Captain Yamauchi to name but two.
The cast changed slightly each series but I ...

DVD Description
Creator Darren Star and executive producer Aaron Spelling followed up on the massive success of their 1990s teen drama BEVERLY HILLS 90210 with a spinoff series that went on to match its parent show's popularity (and made its Monday night timeslot an evening of must-see TV). A grownup, racier version of 90210, MELROSE PLACE harked back to the days of classic night time soaps like DYNASTY and DALLAS while adding a decidedly younger, hipper edge with amped-up levels of sex, betrayal, murder, and a multiple personality or two. The backstabbing action centred on a group of fashionable, affluent 20-somethings living in a stylish apartment complex on the L.A. strip of the title: vulnerable ad exec Alison Parker (Courtney Thorne-Smith); her roommate/love interest, Billy Campbell (Andrew Shue); the increasingly conniving doctor, Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro); his sweetly innocent wife, Jane (Josie Bissett); her trashy stripper sister, Sydney (Laura Leighton); nice guy Jake Hanson (Grant Show); openly gay Matt Fielding (Doug Savant); tough New York transplant Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga); the utterly psychotic Kimberly Shaw (Marcia Cross); and, of course, the memorable villainous vixen Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear). This season adds manipulative rich girl Brooke Armstrong (Kristin Davis) to the volatile mix, ending with one of the greatest cliff-hangers in TV history. The ultimate guilty pleasure, MELROSE PLACE's third series is presented in its entirety with this collection of 31 episodes featuring guest appearances by Beverley Mitchell, Traci Lords, Chuck Woolery, and Mackenzie Phillips.
