I saw this advertised when i was watching a different film at my local cinema, and instantly knew i would have to see it. When it was released I took a few friends to see it. The cinema was the busiest I have seen since The Lion King.
I would rate this film very highly. The makers have captured the true spirit of schooling, even if they had a little fun at the end! But it was nice to watch a film, and think "Hey, other people realise that school is SO bitchy!". The makers have shown the sort of complications, we as girls find ourselves in at school, what with fashion and fall-out's, this film hits the nail on the head.
The plot is hilarious and is in no way corny, and the cast did a fantastic job. Lindsey Lohan was great and you can tell that the film was a lot of fun to make.
I liked this film because I feel far too old for the other sorts of 'teen' films around at the moment, but perhaps too young for some of the films created for older women. This film was perfect for me and my friends! It was a great laugh!
My boyfriend loves it too, although i suspect it's due to the lovely ladies! But he does assure me that the comedy in it, is so tounge in cheek at times that you can see how much of a great job the makers did at making it acessable to various audiences, because he enjoys it too!
Younger viewers will enjoy it for what it is, and older teens like myself will pick up on the comedy!
