Me And Mrs Jones (DVD)

Advantages: Funny, clever, romantic
Disadvantages: I'm sure some bloke somewhere will object

...for the characters at the same time. - "While the jukebox plays our favourite song" It's probably just me noticing this, because I love my music, but this film has a brilliant soundtrack. The more alert of you will have noticed from some of the titles of my sections that one of the songs and the soundtrack is the oh-so-predictable 'Me & Mrs Jones' by Billy Paul. Predictable it may be, but a) it's a great song, and b) I thank the powers that be that 'Doctor Jones' by Aqua didn't get on the soundtrack, because I would have had to kill someone as a consequence! But seriously, it's a stunning soundtrack (or at least the songs in the film are – not all of them made it onto the soundtrack album), because it lacks the problems of most recent soundtracks in that it doesn't restrict itself to song that came out a couple of weeks ago. Advantages: Good performances, funny at times!
Disadvantages: A bit cliche

...the house, he puts on an Irish accent and Daniel suddenly becomes Mrs Doubtfire! Well, at the beginning she’s a shit cook, cleaner, washer-upper, and housemaid. But, after a good few weeks Mrs Doubtfire becomes a wiz around the kitchen and the house, and in-between nattering on about Daniel/himself with Miranda, he’s either cleaning the lounge or doing the tea! But, is Daniel’s plan of making Miranda love Daniel again over when hunk Stuart comes into the frame? A good ending to the film ,and pretty believable, and will leave you smiling; well it did me! **PERFROMANCES** Robin Williams – One Hour Photo, Jumanji, Good Morning Vietnam, - played his part well as Mrs Doubtfire, and really does make you laugh. Disadvantages: Bit cheesy and unbelievable in places

...Mr & Mrs Smith is a film first released in June 2005. It has been described as an action/comedy/adventure/romance film so has something for everybody. The film was directed by Doug Liman and runs for 122 minutes. It is certified as a 15 due to some moderate sexual references and quite a bit of violence. ------- PLOT ------ The film begins with Mr & Mrs Smith seeking marriage guidance counselling with the film going on to explain how the married couple ended up needing counselling. To the outside world Mr & Mrs Smith seem like an average married couple leading ordinary lives but behind closed doors its a very different story.
