...Like all good entertainers, Bill Bailey is a bit difficult to categorise, sitting halfway between comedian and musician, he is however more than a latter-day MaxBoyce. He inhabits a world of his own creation, one that runs fairly parallel to the one we inhabit, and one which at times may seem familiar, but it takes only a finely crafted punch line or weird tangent to remind us that Bill Bailey is probably a time travelling jester a troubadour, wit and all round fool. Move over Renaissance man and welcome Renaissance twit. He is probably known to more people from his appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and the part that he plays there is fairly representative of his act, but add his musical ability and his well crafted script and he really come into his own.
Filmed at the Grand Theatre, Swansea, Bailey comes across like a mad wizard...

Advantages: Disappointing episode Disadvantages: It's the last one - complete your collection
...The Green Wing Special DVD delivers the final ever Green Wing episode. In theory we find out whether Mac is really dying and if Caroline gets to marry him, or ends up marrying Guy. The same wacky cast of characters is back for the special episode, drawn together to attend a funeral. Sue White is still pursuing Mac, Guy is still desperately in love with Caroline, and Guy is ever more mysterious. Will we ever find out his real name? Boyce misses his mentor, but Statham and Joanna have problems of their own and there's surprises in store for the rest of the HR department.
In practice the finale is very disappointing, with no real answers, and doesn't make up for the fact that the series is no more....

Advantages: ITS ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES!!!! Disadvantages: Are there any?
...This box set needs no selling from me. Series 1 is a superb introduction to the lives of the Trotter family, series 2 to 7 go from strength to strength showing exactly how a noral situation can turn into a disaster as the trotters attempt to become millionaires.
There is no other sitcom which has produced so many Characters - Trigger, Boyce, Mike, Del Boy, Rodney etc. All these could have a series of their own. By series 7 you feel like you know each character personally.
This is one of the few programs I can watch repeatedly, spotting new jokes on every watch. This is British comedy at its very best.
Lack of extras is the only weakness, but with such entertainment from each episode who has got time for extras....
