The Matrix Revolutions is that explosive third installment of the sci-fi, geek loving, special effects, machine loving saga of the 90s and new millenium. For 5 years audiences waited for the ending to the amazing film The Matrix which came out in 1999. Revolutions takes off from the second one with Neo in a coma and his love Trinity watching over him. Mr Smith is his usual self during this film being sneaky and mischievious with his usual witty one liners that fit in perfectly with the film. This film sees the end of the war of the machines against Zion in an explosive ending that will shock and thrill you and make you want to watch the film over and over again.

This film sees Mr Smith getting closer to his goal of taking over not only Zion but the Matrix and every mind in it! Watch close for the oracle and what she has to say, you will notice a bit of a change in her that i think was not explained properly, watch the film and you will see what i mean. cant tell you too much or else ill ruin it for you. The special effects in this film are superb and all i can say is they had a big budget. The machines and their attack is fantastic. This film also sees Neo doing what no one has ever done and venturing into the machine city! This is one excellent scene, special effects and computers go a long way in this scene!

The only problem i have with this film is the lack of big fights and battles that have made the previous matrixs a sort of kung fu genre. This and the confusion that some will face with the ending revelation might spoil the film but if you didnt understand the previous two, dont even bother trying to understand this one!
The spectacular final battle between Neo and Mr Smith is one not to be missed and will leave many people in awe! As ive said everything that has a beginning has an end and everything has two sides (bit of a spoiler there!).

Keanu Reeves gives and excellent performance as Neo the one. Brooding yet loveable he can still make some identify with how he feels by all the weight on his shoulders and the destiny he has to fulfill.
Carrie-ann-moss is fantastic as Trinity and goes all out for her performance. She plays Neo's love with grace and sincerity which makes you believe that they could actually be in love in real life.
Laurence Fishborne i dont think has a very big role in this film like he did for the first. His character has seemed to dwindle from being Neo's mentor to being his side kick to being his lap dog. Others may disagree when they see the film. However his great performance cannot be denied even though i think he should have been givfen a bigger role in the final film.
Hugo Weaving is simply devislish in this film. I completely love his wit and humour as he tries to destroy everything. Being a baddy has never looked so good!!!

This film is one of my favourites and can beat out any other science fiction films with its wit, effects, oringinality and performances.
This is a must have for anyone who loves these films especially with all the special features on the second disc such as:
'CG Revolution': explore the special effects arsenal and take an inside look at the making of the creatures and environs of the CGI-intensive third movie
Weblinks to the official Matrix website and The Matrix Online test site
'Mind Over Matter: The Physicality of The Matrix': a look at what it takes for the actors and stunt people to perform the dramatic stunts of the film and many many more.

The sound quality on this DVD is outstanding and i suggest everyone to watch this film on surround sound at full blast volume. Its like they are firing bullets right in your living room!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone i urge you to buy and watch this film immediately!!!!!

watched this last night (having not seen this one before), and thought it was absolutely brilliant - although the end confused me a little (the part where Neo beat the agent). Alex

Fantastic review. I found this movie mind blowing. I didn't like the movie but only because I didn't like it. I may watch again though!
