The Matrix: the stunning original which introduced the world to flo-mo bullet time. The Matrix Reloaded: a sex/rave scene that went on far too long and a bloke who sprouted psycho-babble, inserting “ergo” into every sentence. The Matrix Revolutions: the trilogy’s final act and the film that explains everything?
Sadly not, although it’s hardly surprising when you remember the Wachowski brothers are behind it. Even at the end of the film, many questions remain unanswered. Without giving anything away, I can say the end leaves the way clear for another sequel, or two, or three... The title is The Matrix Revolutions after all. When watched this film at the Cinema it was disapointing as questions remained unanswered as said above
This film is a disgrace to cinema and should be avoided at all costs. The film is so pretentious and contrivied
plot outine: The machine army continues to drill towards Zion. Within hours, they will overrun the population of the Zionites and lay extinction to human kind. Meanwhile, Neo is held captive by the Merovingian at a train station. Trinity & Morpheus set out on a journey to release him from a mysterious train operator. Also, Smith resumes his quest to kill "Mr. Anderson" as he reveals his identity into the real world and resumes to replicate his program inside the system of The Matrix, causing it to decay. All hope is placed in the freed Neo, who must travel to the city of the machines in the Logos ship with Trinity and bargain to save each kingdom from destruction by finishing Smith once and for all. But even with his new powers over the sentinels, will he be able to fight them off?
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Mary Alice, Tanveer Atwal, Monica Bellucci, Ian Oliss, Collin Chou, Nona Gaye, Lachy Hulme, Nathaniel Lees, Harry Lennix, Harold Perrineau, Bruce Spence
I am, by no means, satisfied with the ending to the movie. There are still about a hundred un-answered questions and theories implied, and just straight up told in the first two movies. Maybe there needed to be another movie in there somewhere just to satisfy us knit-pickers. Or maybe there is one simple explantaion: It's just a movie.

Why do viewers need everything within a movie explained to them? I find the Matrix trilogies power derives from thinking about the events unfolding for yourself. For instance, does revolution actually mean resolution - all things will be revealed for the audience at the end of the film? Or is the title more ambiguous than that? - a revolution is exactly that, a circle that has revolved in time only to return to where it started originally i.e. Zion remains, the machines are still in power, another Neo will be born into the Matrix and the whole process will start again within the seventh revolution of the Matrix. Pretensious and contrived, perhaps, but still a film worth watchingfor the stylish nature of the attack on Zion. Incredible! Alboy
