please the eyes more than the ears. It has much, though, to offer newcomers to the genre of opera, and to all fans of both Natalie Dessay and Rolando Villazón. (For greater enjoyment, those familiar with them, however, are advised to banish thoughts of the enchanting vocal performances on record of Victoria de los Angeles and Henri Legay with Pierre Monteux conducting the Orchestre du Theatre National de L'Ópera-Comique.) Personally though, I think this has more emotion, a better pace, and a twist that really puts the icing on the gateau, and perfectly finishes what is a truly wonderful story. The two films really are French cinema classics, and I'd thoroughly recommend them to viewers of any age, with or without any interest in foreign films.

I bought the Adam and Joe DVD as a present for my boyfriend knowing he'd enjoyed watching it back in the day (the show ran from 1996 to 2001). Although I enjoyed watching the series I wasn't expecting too much from the DVD as there were a few sketches that were always a bit hit or miss.
However the DVD is a condensed version of the four series' of "The Adam and Joe show" that were originally shown on channel 4. It contains all the "best bits" and is to summarize in one word- HILARIOUS,
The show took the form of short sketches with links filmed in Adam and Joe's "bedsit" in London. 'Adam and Joe' are Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish, two friends who met at school and have been working together on comedy sketches and projects ever since.
