...too savoury a charcter and it appears the girl that killed her self may have been a reltion of the screwed up leather face family. The Massacre ensues
My opinion on this film is mixed, it's a sorta good horror film, some gruesome moments but if its sadistic horror you're looking for Hostel maybe more along your lines. There are a few moments that make you jump as well. Though one thing I shall say in its favor is that it is actually quite a good remake, alot of remakes can be pretty crap but this one was acceptable. I think i would recommend the old film though, those old 70s horror film create an atmosphere and style in themselves due to just being made back in the 70s. Jessica Beil also made ths film quite enjoyable, she just gets her T-shirt progressively wetter throughout the film.
The extra features DVD was quite good. It has...

The surprising news is that the remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is just as scary, sometimes scarier, than the original. The film doesn't try to re-invent the story, or complicate it with extraneous details. There are no expansive, soft-focus flashbacks or long, introspective explorations into Leatherface's childhood, or any other attempts to explain his motivation. It simply remains a movie about...
