Advantages: Entertainment All The Way Disadvantages: Not All 3 Films Are Greats
Mixed feelings on this one! I don't own the DVDs but i have seen the films and all 3 films are on my goodside, and my bad. Firstly X-Men 1!
The First X-Men film is just what I call an average film. Apart from the stunning special effects there is not too much that had me going wow! If i wasen't a Marvel fan i probably would not have watched this film.
As for X-Men2, i have a totally different Story to tell. Simply superb! I loved this film and it had me entertained from begining to end. You don't have to be a Marvel fan to watch this one! X2 i watched at the Cinema, and i walked out of the cinema with a Smile on my face.
Lastly, The LastStand. Very mixed feelings on this one. As an X-Men fan i was far from impressed with the Storyline, as it totally loses the real X-men story but the film is still visually superb with great ...
Advantages: Interviews, extended scenes, sketches, alternative endings etc etc Disadvantages: Theres so much to get through you may be there for hours!
This fantastic collector's edition of the three X-men movies also comes with a comic book with snippets of the genius Stan Lee's favourite scenes from his comics, aswell as a whole new section of a story created especially for the DVD boxset which is well worth the read.
All three films are impressive, with the characters resembling what many of the comic book fans would have seen themselves. Although the character's are dazzling, if you are an avid fan of the comics you will notice that the films do not stick to them 'by the book' and have little additions and editing from the director/producer. Nevertheless the films are fast-paced and full of action featuring legendary actors such as Patrick Stewart, who is perfect as the leader of the X-men, Charles Xavier and Ian McKellen - a truly menacing yet somehow empathetic Magneto (Xavier ...
Advantages: Cheaper and no problem of buying each brilliant film. Disadvantages: First film not quit as great as he second, but sill well worth watching.
Brilliant!!! A great way to get your hands on the brilliant trilogy, these three films build up to a finale that even Marvel artists would be proud of. They are truly the best recent comic book adaptations, outdoing the FantasticFour and Superman, all three films are brilliant, although the first doesn't have as much action in it, so can feel slow at times, however, i would stil recommend this to any action or comic lover. The special effects are also great, even though the first film is slightly old now, i would still say that the special effects alone deserve full ratings.
i hope this review was very useful, its a great film and wel worth buying.
feel free to give me feedback.
thanks,

Includes the following films based on Marvel superheroes: X-MEN, X-MEN 2, X-MEN - THE LAST STAND, ELEKTRA, DAREDEVIL, and FANTASTIC FOUR. In X-MEN, the titular characters are a team of mutant peacekeepers led by Professor Xavier assigned the task of protecting the human race against the sinister Magneto. In X-MEN 2, the group once again return to save the world from a group of mutant creatures. In the White House, teleporting blue mutant Nightcrawler menaces the president. Meanwhile in the Canadian Rockies, Wolverine searches for answers to his mysterious past at the top-secret facility where he received his metallic skeleton and claws. In X-MEN – THE LAST STAND, Worthington Laboratories--using a powerful mutant boy--develops a serum that eliminates the 'mutant X gene' permanently. This so-called 'cure' quickly divides the mutant community; Professor Xavier and his school are willing to give the government the benefit of the doubt but Magneto and his mutant Brotherhood see the serum as a vile threat to their way of life. They form an army of mutants and march on the fortified Worthington Laboratory located on Alcatraz Island. A much more dire threat appears in the form of the resurrected super-mutant Jean Grey, who has succumbed to her cataclysmic identity known as The Phoenix. In ELEKTRA, the titular character is resurrected after being killed by her former mentor and assigned the task, by The Order Of The Hand, of assassinating a man and his thirteen year old daughter. When she becomes friendly with her potential victims, however, she must do whatever it takes to defend them. In DAREDEVIL, Matthew Murdoch was blinded in an accident but being covered in a radioactive substance has had the ability to be completely aware of everything that is going on around him. He puts his special powers to good use as a crime fighter. In FANTASTIC FOUR, four astronauts embark on a space mission that goes wrong. The ship's owner - who later transforms into evil Doctor Doom - refuses to abort the mission during a solar storm, which electrifies the ship and its entire crew, causing radical changes to their DNA. Back on earth, the transformed 'heroes' adjust to their new powers, which are specific to their personalities. Mister Fantastic, who lacks assertion, has stretchy limbs of rubber. Invisible Woman, who loves Fantastic but thinks he can't see her for who she really is, does a disappearing act. The Human Torch, an immature guy who is brimming with energy, can burst into flames. And finally, The Thing, a great friend who is as solid as a rock, actually turns into one - and loses his wife due to his weighty disposition. Holing up in Fantastic's scientific lab where they run experiments on themselves in hopes of changing back to normal, the crew learns that Doctor Doom - who is so power hungry that he turns into metal and is able to conduct electrical currents - poses a serious threat. The heroes quickly master their abilities and channel their scientific smarts for one truly fantastic five-way face-off.
