Not the most compatible combination Advantages: House of Flying Daggers Disadvantages: Bulletproof Monk ...in my local DVD shop, House of Flying Daggers alone cost more than this combination. This makes no sense to me, so, ievitably, I bought this one. However, aside from being fo the same genre- Martial arts - these DVDs have nothing at all in common and so I was a little disappointed that they couldn't come up with a better combination. I have rated this product good because of the incredible film that is House of Flying Daggers. eautiful scenery, artistry, ... ...the quality or memorability of House of Flying Daggers. The stunts are less well choreographed, and the general standard of the film is brought much lower. It is more of comedy-action film and the American acting drags down the standard of this set somewhat. Still, on its own Bulletproof Monk isn't a below average film and it is definitely watchable. Another quality film from Korea Advantages: the film is real classy Disadvantages: a sad ending ...hitting, realistic fight scenes. The Warrior, Musa in Korea, is a period movie set in 14th century, that actually tells the story of China from a different view point, which is refreshing. The film centres around a group of Korean diplomats protected by a band of Korean soldiers. However in the group is 3 main central characters. The main hero is Yeo-Sol, played by Jung Woo-Sung, Choi Jung, played by Joo Jin-Mo, an upper class, general, who is very ... ...all the men look up to. Yeo-Sol is a slave of one of the elderly diplomats. So this diplomatic envoy is on a mission of peace to see the Ming emperor. Upon arrival they are greeted by a very frosty reception, and are surrounded by Chinese soldiers. Sadly they are considered as spies and are arrested. Whilst being transported by prison wagons, the wagons are ambushed by Mongols that slay all the Chinese guards, but leave the Korean alive. Classic films! Advantages: Great films, good commentary, great price Disadvantages: Nothing...as long as you like Karate Kid films :P ...fell in love with it. The storyline is so-so, but the performances and characters were just so awesome - who could forget Mr. Miyagi! It's great for younger boys who can relate to Daniel, and the films also teach good morals. The special features for the box set are limited to some audio commentary by the main characters, but fortunately it's some good stuff. Daniel Son and Mr Miyagi in the Karate Kid! Advantages: Superb film Disadvantages: Nothing ...with myself for sleeping till the afternoon on a sunny day, i decided to go for a walk in the sunshine around town. Best Martial Arts Film Ever Advantages: Great story and martial art moves, acting is superb Disadvantages: Actors don't speak in English, but there are translations If like me, you are thinking of learning some kind of martial art in the near future, than from this film you can get all the inspiration and motivation you need. Reknown for all the Martial Arts fighting in it, Chinese style, this film is the foreign film that cashed in the most money from the US Box Office ever. The cast in the film is completely Chinese and thereforeI have never heard of any of them before. However from what I have read on the ... ...Incidentally, although 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' was a complete success in the US and other western countries, it was a complete flop in China. Probably one of the reasons could be because the four main actors all speak four different dialects of Mandarin, which thankfully doesn't really affect Westerners who can see the film translated to English or else with English sub-titles.
