The film cover puts it best, Rocky meets Bruce Lee
Review of Fighter In The Wind (Subtitled) (Wide Screen) by tayloa22

Advantages: rock hard movie, fight scenes are mental. and it's a true story
Disadvantages: there are none

Fighter In The Wind- A Review By Addy Fighter In the Wind is a 2004 Korean film that is based on the true story of Choi Yeung-Eui. Forced by circumstances that come to light in the film he changed his name to Masutatsu Oyama, although his preferred name was Choi Bae-Dal to show his Korean ethnicity. He created his own martial arts called Kyokushinkai karate and successfully challenged and defeated every master Japan had to offer. The film is an ...

Good Japanese Karate Film
Review of The Return Of The Streetfighter DVD by fraz1511

Advantages: Plenty Of Brutal Action, Good Photography and Great Music
Disadvantages: Cut Version Has Nonsensical Plot & Is Too Short!

'Return Of The Street Fighter' - Japan- 1974 Fun sequel to Sonny Chiba's groundbreaking 'Streetfighter' film. Takuma Tsurgi returns (as you would expect) to punch kick and stamp his way through his enemies in this 70s brutalist karate film. Chiba for the uninitiated was an Olympic standard karate master who starred in loads of films in Japan over the seventies and eighties. Chiba is awesome as usual, in the 'Streetfighter' films he plays Takuma ...
...Although not a patch on the original, it's full on and gory (although toned down slightly from the first film), it features tonnes of action, funky music, stylish cinematography and some great 70s kitsch. It has a lighter tone than the original with a plot about the mafia blackmailing karate schools to justify the relentless and brutal fight scenes. However most people won't be watching this for it's great plot, instead they'll be watching to witness ... Read review

The geatest Eastern film EVER!!...
Review of Ong Bak (Vanilla) by mimicmwb

Advantages: over 5 hours of amazing bonus material
Disadvantages: i cant think of any

..."kon dib Ihek nam pee", Ong Bak is definitely the superior. I have taken into consideration that "Kon dib Ihek nam pee" was a lower budget movie, but the story to it, the in-camera editing skills; they just weren't as good. Ong-Bak is much better. The director, Prachya Pinkaew, has brought such films as the announced "sword" (also featuring Tony Jaa), "Cherm", and "7 pra-jan-barn". I have yet to see "sword", but I have seen the other two and I wasn't ...
...As I said before, it was so worth the £10.99 it was purchased for. I definetely recommend this movie to anyone with at least half a brain. LOL :D Thankyou very much for reading my review, I hoped you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Feel free to leave any comments on how I can improve, I'm all ears. ... Read review

crouching tiger hidden dragon
Review of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon DVD by chrissi07

Advantages: great action scenes
Disadvantages: death

why oh why does the nice guy have to die at the end of these films i love all these films, this one has a rugged story line but the layout and casting are brilliant, music is heart felt actresses are so right for this film, older warrior trying to steer the young rogue into the right direction, also at the same time trying to keep her emotions for lee mu bai at bay. So a forbidden love is kept still by tradition. Yet another love is cursed, the thief ... Read review

Enter as Dragon... Exit as Legend!
Review of Enter The Dragon DVD by oxonian

Advantages: Superb fight sequences, compelling plot and excellent acting.
Disadvantages: Standard of fighting is not as magnificent as Way of the Dragon.

...and my father pressed 'Play'. Enter the Dragon started, and it was to teach me about Kung Fu. Enter the Dragon was my first introduction to Bruce Lee, who is arguably the greatest Martial Artist of all time, and it was one I was never going to forget. I became a fan of Bruce instantly; his competence in acting was secondary to the magnificent Kung Fu he used to cripple his enemies. My interest and love for Martial Arts began in the wake of this ...
...Background Enter the Dragon is perceived as the ultimate film of the Martial Arts genre. It significantly happened to be Bruce Lee's first and last Hollywood production. He had at this point starred in three Chinese blockbusters and was in the process of directing and producing Game of Death - which looked set to be another giant hit. However when the offer for Enter the Dragon arose, it was one Bruce could not refuse. It would ... Read review
