Enter as Dragon... Exit as Legend!
Review of Enter The Dragon DVD by
oxonian
Advantages: Superb fight sequences, compelling plot and excellent acting.
Disadvantages: Standard of fighting is not as magnificent as Way of the Dragon.
...and my father pressed 'Play'. Enter the Dragon started, and it was to teach me about Kung Fu.
Enter the Dragon was my first introduction to Bruce Lee, who is arguably the greatest Martial Artist of all time, and it was one I was never going to forget. I became a fan of Bruce instantly; his competence in acting was secondary to the magnificent Kung Fu he used to cripple his enemies. My interest and love for Martial Arts began in the wake of this ... ...Background
Enter the Dragon is perceived as the ultimate film of the Martial Arts genre. It significantly happened to be Bruce Lee's first and last Hollywood production. He had at this point starred in three Chinese blockbusters and was in the process of directing and producing Game of Death - which looked set to be another giant hit. However when the offer for Enter the Dragon arose, it was one Bruce could not refuse. It would ...

Immortal (***** stars out of five)
Review of Enter The Dragon (Special Edition) by
supereddman98
Advantages: Amazing fighting
Disadvantages: Not the best acting, but who needs it.
Enter the Dragon (1973) was Bruce Lee's first (and only) solo big Hollywood production. Too bad he never got to see the fruits of his labor. He passed away during the film's post production (don't fret, two more official Bruce Lee films were made after this one. Despite all of the years of hard work and finally making it to the big times, he wasn't around long enough to enjoy it. Even though Robert Clouse is credited as director and another person ... ...out you'll have to watch Enter The Dragon!!!!
Bruce Lee worked a great deal on this picture. He wrote most of the screenplay (uncredited), filmed all of the action scenes (uncredited) and directed several scenes (uncredited). Lam Ching-Ying, Angela Mao, Jackie Chan and Bolo Yeung appear in this film. If you haven't seen this film already then you're either a kid, lame or something is wrong with you. Highly recommended. ...

Enter The Dragon (review)
Review of Enter The Dragon (Special Edition) by
T-BuLL16
Advantages: great storyline and actors, the fighting scenes are EXELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disadvantages: It was a bit slow to start.
...in my all time favourite Enter The Dragon.
I love this film and the reason being is because the storyline is great and the fighting scenes are excellent, well . . . I suppose you would expect that from the man proven to be the worlds fittest man, highly trained in martial arts.
If you are into martial arts then this is definitely the film for you I personally recommend the special edition specifically because it has hidden scenes in it that you ... ...first five or ten minutes as it's a bit slow.
BRUCE LEE, Martial artist, Died age 32, approximately 2 weeks before the film Enter The Dragon was released, Unknown Reasons.
Some People talk about the way he died, I personally like to talk about the way he lived. ...

Brainless Fun
Review of City Hunter (Subtitled and Dubbed) (Wide Screen) by
Photosynthesis
Advantages: Great Fight scenes, some comedy moments
Disadvantages: Weak Plot, Dissapointing
Based on a popular manga, I was expecting a lot more from this movie. However for those expecting something similar to the manga, will be disappointed as this movie does not really follow it as such.
Ryo (Jackie Chan) is paid to locate the daughter of his employer. He finds her on a ship, which is hijacked by terrorists, and Jackie must save the girl and the day. Its not exactly a unique storyline or a strong plot. But provides plenty of oppertunity ... ...someone who loves lots of fight scenes, slapstick comedy and some brainless fun for an hour or two, then I would recommend this film. But do not expect a strong story line or any intellectual enhancement from ths movie. Its full of cliches and cheesy moments, but also some funny and enjoyable moments.
There are some great fight scenes and comedy moments, but its one of those movies easily forgotten. Its a film that a Jackie Chan fan would perhaps ...

Sharp pointy thing for hire
Review of Shogun Assassin (Uncut Version) (Wide Screen) by
tayloa22
Advantages: father son relationship, action, plot
Disadvantages: dated, some won't like the graphic violence
Shogun Assassin- A Review By Addy
Steeped in History
Shogun Assassin is a chambara film which means sword fight, and that's what this film offers up in abundance. The film was originally released in 1980 but due to the sheer graphic nature of the film it was banned for many years in this country, {1983-2001} and now has achieved a cult status and huge fan base. This jidaigeki {Period film} is set in Japan during the Edo period and is a film ... ...Beauty and the Beast
Shogun Assassin really does combine elements of both beauty and beast. Allow me to elaborate.
The beast
☺You may remember that at the beginning of the review I mentioned that this film was formerly banned. This is due to the graphic nature of the battle scenes. Not only is there regular geysers of blood shooting out from gaping wounds but there are images such as swords being buried into heads and heads being split ...
