Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Confuses Audience

Advantages: See what life might have been like during the Qing Dynasty
Disadvantages: it left the viewer confused with unanswered questions

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon takes place during the Qing Dynasty and tells the story of woman and men warriers and a sword known as the Green Destiny. I was utterly confused when watching this movie and had a hard time grasping my head around the plot. This story line was very difficult to follow and was needed to be searched on the Internet to discover the plot. In my opinion, the movie didn't answer any questions that were set up in the beginning ...
...plot and the characters of the story were to confusing that it was distracting from the effects included. Personally, I beleive that Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was a pointless movie in which there was no plot but just a series of random events that made transitions through the movie. ...

Best Martial Arts Film Ever

Advantages: Great story and martial art moves, acting is superb
Disadvantages: Actors don't speak in English, but there are translations

If like me, you are thinking of learning some kind of martial art in the near future, than from this film you can get all the inspiration and motivation you need. Reknown for all the Martial Arts fighting in it, Chinese style, this film is the foreign film that cashed in the most money from the US Box Office ever. The cast in the film is completely Chinese and thereforeI have never heard of any of them before. However from what I have read on the ...
...Incidentally, although 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' was a complete success in the US and other western countries, it was a complete flop in China. Probably one of the reasons could be because the four main actors all speak four different dialects of Mandarin, which thankfully doesn't really affect Westerners who can see the film translated to English or else with English sub-titles. Personally, I prefer the latter. What particularly attracted ...

A Good Movie

Advantages: have funny points, touching, good for a family to watch, good effect
Disadvantages: too less scene of Stephen Chow

I have watched that movie for a year ago and it was not that disapointing as many people have told me before I started to watch it and made me lost interest to watch the movie so it took me a while before I watch this movie. But I really love the Alien in the movie and think it's so cute, and I would really want to find the doll for it. The movie is about a young boy that found a Alien (CJ7) and many things happened between them, Stephen Chow is ...

This Girl Ain't Sweet

Advantages: Wonderful Martail Arts...She is just Brilliant
Disadvantages: Basic story...but who cares!!!

...to help her mum. Chocolate is well directed and is an extremely entertaining watch. Prachya Pinkaew, the director who introduced the world to the fantastic Tony Jaa has again discovered another gem, this time in Yanin Vismistananda. She is wonderfully superb as the autistic Zen showcasing her array of martial arts skills and demonstrating the wonderful athleticism she possesses. Her acting is also pretty good as are the supporting cast that consist ...
...action choreography. This is where Chocolate makes up for its inadequacies. Using no wires along with intricate set pieces and multiple opponents, clearly influenced from Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies and notably Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol , are absolutely fantastic. Prachya Pinkaew and the fight choreography team should be commended in trying to raise the bar and try something different. With this in mind Chocolate is a brilliant Martial ...

Must See - Brilliant & Ingeneous martial arts!

Advantages: Culturally accurate (As I can tell), Comical, Excellent martial arts & Choreography.
Disadvantages: Not too deep, more for action than story.

I watched this movie as a recommendation from a friend. - And I'm glad I did. This is one of Jackie Chans' first films and helped hurtle him into stardom. Don't be put off by my special effects rating, a good martial arts film doesn't need them! The choreography is outstanding and carries the film from start to finish. The story is of a young unruly martial arts student (Jackie) who is forced by his father to leave town to train with a legendary ...
...of all, feared by new apprentices'. The young Jackie later discovers the legend is all but an old drunk. He dismisses him, until later through a funny and riveting series of events their paths meet again. As the film continues, Jackie's character, Wong Fei-Hung, is taught 'drunken Kung Fu'. In the mean time it is revealed an assassin has been sent after Wongs' father. I think it is plain to see that this is soley a martial arts movie; the story there ...
