I am Wong-Fei Hung from Fu-Shan

Advantages: something for everyone, even women love these movies
Disadvantages: A little dated now, sometimes a little to tongue in cheek.

...portraying this person but the Once Upon A Time in China movies tell the legend the best. Some small elements of fantasy within some fight scenes but for the most part raw hard hitting martial arts. Films are better in cantonese with subtitles rather than cheesy dubbing. This box contains the first three of a total of six movies. The other three movies are titled Last Hero in China, Once upon a Time in China and America, {Kung-Fu shenanigans in ...
...6 {avoid this, this is the only one that doesn't star Jet Li and it's very poor} Much like Rocky through the course of the movies you see a love relationship blossom between Fei-Hung and Aunt Yee {no relative} The films also continue the story so you really build an affection for the charachters, such as Ah Soh, Ah Fu, porky, and Clubfoot. The films contain loads of humour and in parts are hysterical. I love ther part where Wong Fei-Hung woh happens ...

TWINKLE TWINKLE MY LUCKY STARS (1985)

Advantages: The choreographed fights scenes won't let you down
Disadvantages: Too many cast to concentrate or relate to. Too much libidos

...the same cast. ‘Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars (TTLS)’ is an action comedy, just like the two previous instalments. The mighty Sammo Hung directed the film as well as starring in it. The cast I remember seeing in ‘Winners and Sinners’ were Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Stanley Fung, John Sham and Richard Ng. Eric Tsang was supposingly introduced in ‘My Lucky Stars’ and ‘Twinkles’ introduced a young and handsome character called ‘Pagodo’ (Michael Miu). With ...
...assume that there would be outstanding fighting scenes without a double. This was true. If ‘Winners and Sinners’ is believed to be the funniest out of the instalments, then TTLS, in my opinion, is definitely more action orientated. Sammo Hung was able to choreograph several breathtaking fight scenes, which enable the trio to demonstrate their potential. This time, Hung was also able to introduce new talents within the fight, such as Andy Lau. My ...

Utterly funny.

Advantages: Funny scene in Japanese Hotel ordering food, and taking advantage of female ICPO agent
Disadvantages: none

One of my favourites, the trio are now in Tokyo Japan, Jackie and Yuan, are ICPO agents who are tracking a crime synicate in Tokyo, but Yuan is captured in the beginning in an Amusement park. Jackie therefore calls for reinforcements from his old orphan pal sammo. Sammo is in prison and is set free only to be arrested instantly, and is offered the job, he gathers all of his old friends who are criminals, and they are all set off on a mission with ...
...million hong kong dollars worth of Bonds, and there job is to infiltrate the crime synicate and to help locate their base. overall the movie like always with the trio is filled completely with Slapstick, with some brilliant acting from sammo's gang. A must watch film for all Jackie Chan fans and a great movie for all who are new to the Peking Opera Trio. Filled with original jokes and an original storyline, with ninja's and samurai's. ...

Slim Sammo

Advantages: Good plot, excellent Martial Arts
Disadvantages: Story wanders

Based on the Dirty Dozen. This is Sammo Hung’s personal favourite film and probably his greatest achievement, in this his is actor and director. In fact the whole cast went through gruelling training to make this movie and it is said that Sammo Hung lost twenty pounds to shoot this movie and it shows. According to the cast in many of the fight scenes the actors are making full contact with each other. The basic story is that a group of prisoners ...
...a rogue dictatorship in some area of Asia. The setting looks very much like Vietnam in the film. In true Dirty Dozen style the team is made up of a motley crew of likeable and nasty characters, including our hero Sammo Hung. There is a good plot backed up by decent acting and some fast, clever martial art and gun sequences. While the plot may be fairly predictable in terms of who lives and who dies, there is enough here to keep you interested through ...

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Confuses Audience

Advantages: See what life might have been like during the Qing Dynasty
Disadvantages: it left the viewer confused with unanswered questions

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon takes place during the Qing Dynasty and tells the story of woman and men warriers and a sword known as the Green Destiny. I was utterly confused when watching this movie and had a hard time grasping my head around the plot. This story line was very difficult to follow and was needed to be searched on the Internet to discover the plot. In my opinion, the movie didn't answer any questions that were set up in the beginning ...
...plot and the characters of the story were to confusing that it was distracting from the effects included. Personally, I beleive that Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was a pointless movie in which there was no plot but just a series of random events that made transitions through the movie. ...
