...This film is classic early Jet Lee and the fight scenes etc are similar to those in Once Upon A Time In China. This film is based on a real rebel legend and Chinese hero called....you guessed it, Fong Sai Yuk. This period film has something great about it, other than just the great fighting. The first time I saw it I didn't understand as it was in Mandarin and subtitles in Swedish. A nameless warrior wants to kill an emperor. Isn't that ordinary? But when that warrior talks to the emperor introducing different versions of the assassins' plotting the simple story becomes intruiging. Advantages: Inspirational- easy watching
Disadvantages: cheesy- simple plot- but effective

Well where do I start with this film? This is one of those inspirational films like Karate kid that makes you want to get off the sofa and take up kickboxing or other martial arts or learn the splits. This film has a real basic but predictable story line - without ruining it too much you can guess the ending within the first ten minutes. The plot wait for it, if you don't want to see stop reading now; Is revenge- Vamme Dam's (Kurt Sloanne) brother ...
...but doesn't have the necessary skills so learns from a master and of course there's the love interest too.. This is basically an easy watching adult version of Karate Kid.
