Ong-Bak, see it to believe it. Advantages: Funny, exciting, amazing, great popcorn flick. Disadvantages: The story is a little hokey. Who cares? This is a fantastic film, I'll say that now. If you are already a Martial-Arts movie fan, you should believe the hype. I actually took quite a while to get round to seeing this one, but that was because I hadn't seen a good martial arts flick since... Jackie Chan! I hate Seagal, and Van Damme only has one or two good films. So when I finally watched Ong-Bak: my faith in 'chop-socky' films was reaffirmed. Balletic, exciting, there's even a little ... ...fight scenes, and incredible acrobatic feats that you watch this one for. The 'pants on fire' moment blew me away! When I first watched Jackie Chan (I was very young at the time) I was filled with a 'wish I could do that' sense of awe. Watching this film I felt the same way, and that's rare now that I am at a very jaded age. Very little cinema leaves me feeling the way this film does. kung fu fans collect this Advantages: good price to collect now Disadvantages: not funny bulletproof monk is jam packed with chinese style kung fu, yet a bit dissapointing conversations from Chow Yun Fat Based on the very underground comic book, Chow is the immortal Tibetan monk that needs to protect the scroll. the first half of the movie was rather thrilling with good computer generated animation etc. but the second half is rather repeating itself and it is rather boring. no strings attached Advantages: lots of incredible fight scenes, full of stunts. Disadvantages: shows you how unfit you are!! Simply the best martial arts film i have seen since enter the dragon. Some of the fight scenes are unbelievable and out of this world fast. I had never heard of tony jaa before and wheni watched theis film i was blown away by how acrobatic and fast he is. The Man the Myth Advantages: Great un-cut action Disadvantages: Ruined my view of "Game of death" ...other kids saying how brilliant Bruce Lee is and all the 80's spending my hard earned cash on exspensive strongly cut versions of his films on video. The four i got at that time were ofcourse "Big Boss, Fist of fury, Way of the dragon and Game of death" Enter the Dragon came later for me when it was shown uncut on TV very late one night after a live Liverpool european supercup game. That was the first time i saw it un cut as other times after that ... ...was still chuffed with my Bruce Lee collection and it got me very interested in the man himself, and the more i learned the more he intrigue me.
