American History X is not another Crime/Drama film, something like "hit and run". It's story about two racist brothers Derek and Danny. All started then Derek's younger brother Danny heard a noise outside and saw two guys snooping around his brother car. Derek ran outside and unmercifully killed them. He was sent to prison for 3 years. In prison he understand that racism and some other things that he believed is pointless and bullshit. Meanwhile his younger brother is trying to do everything like his brother, Derek is his hero.
Then Derek back from prison he saw that nothing has changed. His friends, Danny still are racists. Derek mission is change his brother before it will be to late and start a new life.
I like this film because of his unusual scenario also these things are happening in real life. In this film i miss more action. In ...
A 7 DVD set for around £20 is a real bargain. As this is the first season, some of the acting is a bit sloppy, and you get the opinion they hadn't really made their mind up about some of the characters fully, but it's worth getting for fans of the show.
The X Files is a series from the US focuses on two FBI agents who work the X Files: cases related to the paranormal. Whilst Fox Mulder is very pro alien, Dana Scully is the voice of reason, giving a scientific approach to unexplained phenomenon. The show ran from 1993 to 2002.
WAS IT ANY GOOD:
The thing about the X Files is it had (and still has as I have found from re-watching a few episodes) a very scary element to it. Episodes varied, but some were as scary as any horror film I've ever seen. The stories occasionally drifted from alien territory to spirituality and devil ...
Advantages: When in the right mood, a few of the tracks could be mildly entertaining. Disadvantages: Depressing and monotonous.
Some of you may remember the MTV show 'Up For It' with Eddy Temple-Morris and Zane Lowe. As well as call-in sections and the usual comedy stunts, they showed live performances by bands that were supposedly about to break into the commercial scene. As far as I can remember, not many bands actually made it. Marcy Playground, along with Drugstore and Headswim, stayed firmly on the brink of mainstream.
‘Sex and Candy’ their first and only single released from this eponymous album is the definite standout track. Although quite beautiful compared to the other tracks, it is not really anything special. The song has a much softer feel to it than say ‘Saint Joe on the School Bus’ which, according to the sleeve, ‘is about being picked on’. However, I think it speaks for itself and wonder why that is ...

DVD Description
When notorious gangsta rapper Dr. S. (Damon Wayans) releases a controversial new CD, straightlaced senator Mary Ellen Sprinkle (Christine Baranski) calls for a boycott of his record label. Much to upstanding citizen and media mogul Ben Feld's (Richard Benjamin) chagrin and surprise, he owns the label, a shock that sends him straight to the hospital. Determined to help out her ailing father, stereotypical Jewish American Princess and Manhattan socialite Marci Feld (Lisa Kudrow) takes matter into her own hands and tries to clean up Dr. S.' act in hopes of fielding an apology from the hardcore rapper. Marci raps about fashion, takes the fast-talking ladies man to charity events where he woos her friends and other high society ladies, and wins over the attendees at his nightclub with interpretive dance. Along the way, this unlikely couple falls in love despite valiant attempts by Dr. S.' girlfriend, Yolanda (Paula Garces), to keep her man. Wayans' over-the-top wardrobe by itself is enough to garner a chuckle. Star Richard Benjamin (MERMAIDS) also directed this satirical look at rap, race relationships, and politics, which features original songs by Marc Shaiman (composer for HAIRSPRAY) and Mervyn Warren.
