The Gods in Red had done it again - hauled victory back from the jaws of defeat to produce the most amazing comeback of all time. But that match was only the climax to an incredible season. Fergies Reds had a 33 match unbeaten run having triumphed over Liverpool, Spurs and Villa in the Premiership. They overcame arch-rivals Arsenal and Newcastle to clinch victory in the FA cup. They heroically beat the giants of European football Milan and Juventus before snatching victory from Bayern Munich to become the first team ever to win The Treble. Alex Ferguson, the Greatest Manager Ever talks us through the Greatest Season Ever exclusively on DVD. Including unique dressing room footage from after the most dramatic night in British football, and featuring every goal from every game, this is probably the greatest football programme ever. It just doesnt get any better than this!

The Manchester United Treble DVD shows every goal scored both for and against Man Utd in the 1998/99 season in which they won the Premiership, the F.A. Cup and the UEFA Champions' League.
On the main menu there are four choices; View Programme, Game by Game, Goal Action and Sir Alex Ferguson -Interactive Interview.
View Programme is exactly as it sounds. If you select this you are shown the whole proramme all the way through. All the games are shown in the order in which they were played and at the start of every month you are shown a list of every match and the score, before you are shown the action from that month. Throughout the programme there are also news updates at the relevant points in the season and newspaper headlines, interviews with Sir Alex Ferguson, the players and the fans, and footage from some press conferences are shown. At various points during the season Man Utd's poition in the Premiership table is also shown so you can see how close the top of the league was.
If you select Game by Game from the main menu you are taken to a further menu. This again gives you four options. These are Month by Month, Premiership, F.A. Cup and Champions' League. If you choose to view the goals Month by Month you are taken to another menu where you can choose to see the goals from the months of August 98 to May 99. You will then be shown all the action from that month before being taken back to the same menu where you can choose another month. If you pick from either Premiership, F.A. Cup or Champions' League you will be shown a list of all the games from the appropriate competition along with the date of each match and you can pick which match you would like to watch the goals from.
If, from the main menu, you pick Goal Action you will be shown a list of the highest goal scorers for Man Utd during the season with the number of goals they each scored next to their names in brackets. From this list you can choose from Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Roy Keane, Teddy Sheringham and Best of the Rest. When you have made your choice you are then shown every goal that that player scored during the season and the date, the match and the score are displayed in the top left hand corner.
When you select Sir Alex Ferguson - Interactive Interview from the main menu you are taken to another menu from where you can choose from 18 different topics discussed in an interview with Sir Alex and you can see what his views were on the questions that he was asked.
I think that this is a brilliant DVD and not just because I'm a Man Utd fan (although of course this is the main reason). The footage shown is fantastic, every goal from every game throughout the season, even the Charity Shield and the Worthington Cup, and the constant reminders of the football news stories from the time help you to remember what else happened during the season, making the memories even clearer. It is also very easy to navigate your way around the different menus to find the goals that you want to watch if you don't want to watch the whole programme at the time. It is a DVD I could never grow tired of watching. It still gives me shivers and makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I watch it and when I see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring the winner in the Champions' League final it still brings tears to my eyes. And as I write this, in fact, I can't keep the smile off my face as I watch Man Utd beating Arsenal in the semi final replay in the F.A. Cup. It still brings these emotions back every time, even eight years on. This DVD has to be a must-have for every Man Utd fan wanting to bring back the memories of such a fantastic season. It is one that I would definitely recommend!
Advantages: fantastic, beutiful football at its best, memorys flood back Disadvantages: n/a
This was uniteds year know one was going to stop them from winning that illustrious treble. united had to put the 97/98 season behind them and with that they had the skipper roy keane back who had missed most of the 97/98 season and he brought us that cutting edge along with new signings dwight yorke, jaap stam, and jesper blomquist. The season didnt start too brightly though, losing to arsenal twice and would have lost to leicester if it wasnt for ... ...season slow and as the season progressed united were destroying teams as nottingham forest found out when united hammerd them 8-1.
March arrived and the talk of the treble had emerged and united were picking up speed beating newcastle and everton in that month and pushing arsenal all the way. the month of march brought the 6th round of the fa cup in which united played chlsea twice owing to a replay in which united eventually won at stamford bridge ...

...1998 - 1999. Manchester United had one of their best seasons ever and you can see this magic again on this DVD. Remember that ace Goal of Ryan Giggs against Arsenal? Well you can replay that moment time and time again. Or how about the last few minutes of extra time in the Final for the UEFA Championship? Again you can re-live it.
Buy and Enjoy, I did ! ...
