writer-directors Michael Cimino (The Deer Hunter) and John Milius (Farewell to the King). But that doesn't mean the film is particularly good. After Don Siegel's ferociously dark style in the first movie, Ted Post's blocky, television-ish direction in Magnum Force is a huge letdown. The story doesn't win any prizes, either. Eastwood's San Francisco detective Harry Callahan (apparently having retrieved his badge after throwing it away at the end of Dirty Harry) takes on a vigilante squad within the city's police force. David Soul is pretty convincing as the major spokesman for these right-wing avengers. Eastwood, on the other hand, had already turned Callahan from fascinating outsider in Siegel's film to purveyor of tough-guy shtick in this one. --Tom Keogh

The second of Clint's outings as 'Dirty' Harry Callahan. This time he is faced with a number of deaths of high profile criminals carried out seemingly in a professional manner.
He goes out to investigate the possible links and ends up discovering a conspiracy. A group of young officers who had previously served in special forces in Vietnam have been acting as executioners. In situations were they don’t believe criminals will be brought to ... ...to kill them.
In order to collect evidence Callahan loses the annual shooting competition that he normally always wins to one of the young policemen, played by David Soul. He manages to match a bullet to one used at one of the killings.
HERE COMETH THE ENDING
After being approached to join the group Callahan declines the offer and a number of attempts are made upon his life. He eventually discovers that his boss (played by Hal Holbrook) is in ...

Sequel to Dirty Harry, and sequeled by The Enforcer, this movie is in between Clints line of Harry Callahan movies.
I have seen all dirty harry films and in my opinion this is the best made, Clint produces an excellent performance as a San Fransisco 'bad cop'. Following a series of unusual ... ...great lines including the infamous 'Do you feel lucky, well do you punk?' (I use this line about once a week!).
Without telling you too much about it, I advise you to watch it, if you haven't already done so. I usually avoid sequels but in this case I made an exception, it shows Clint at his best, and a great story to back up his performance. ...
