Bought by one of our housemates who absolutely adores anything japanese, manga or oriental this is a japanese movie with english subtitles. We were made to watch this DVD he single handedly picked out from our local blockbuster video store (quite possibly the sale bin, however i never asked). I really regret agreeing to watch it now, however i was drawn in my the fact that he had bought us all 'cinema sweet' popcorn and two tubs of our favourite flavour Ben and Jerry's to accompany it.
I am writing this review, a scared woman who lost 40 minutes of her life to this film, and only doing so to warn others who may be curious or attracted to it's mysterious title 'the lost virgin'. Soundingly innocent ...
Advantages: Some very good performances and plenty of laughs Disadvantages: Some of the jokes go a step too far
Andy Sitzer is a nice guy, so nice in fact that his colleagues are convinced there's something wrong with him. But instead of being the serial killer they all feared, they discover he's the most unusual of things; a forty year-old virgin. Once his friends uncover his secret, they set about solving his little "problem" as quickly as possible, hiding away his huge collection of action figures, dressing him up nicely and setting him up with all manner of unsuitable women.

Advantages: A string of 80s Hits Disadvantages: Might sound too dated if you're not a fan
This is the album that really shot Madonna to fame.
It's full of bubble-gum 80s Pop with the edge that defines the Madonna we have grown to love.
Hits on this album include the anthemic "Material Girl", the more rock chick influenced "Dress you up" and the very famous "Like a virgin".
2 ballads are also part of the bargain with "Shoo Bee Doo" and a Rose Royce cover for "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".
"Like a virgin" could have done without them but I guess you need to chill out a bit while practicing your 80s moves around the house!
A great album for pop lovers and Madonna fans.
Avoid if you're not keen on "Minnie Mouse" voice, buy it if you want a cheerful trip down memory lane! ...
