Can someone tell me where I can request a product?. I've tried doing what it says on the Help section but I still can't find the place where I request one. Thanks.
I have already done a review for Viva La Bam season 1, and have had some great ratings, and my first exceptional. So I am going to do a review of the Season 2 and 3 boxset. As stated in my Season 1 review, I have been watching since the first season started in 2005, and was a huge fan of it. But when it finished I missed if for a while but thankfully it didn't take too long for Season 2 then also not too long for Season 3 to be shown to hit the screens. The series sees Bam buying a new home, building a tree top casino and having a Demolition Derby in his back yard and then taking a 2-part trip to Mardi Gras. I will review each episode from both seasons and give my own personal rating for each episode below the review.
Disk 1: The Complete Second Season.
Episode 1: Castle Bam After being told they were no longer allowed to live in there home due to too many violations, Bam decides to search for a new home, and after viewing a few that they didn't like they finally find the perfect new house. I say house when actually it is more like a Castle. After showing his mum April, his dad Phil and his uncle Don Vito, the new home, Bam leaves all his moving in and decorating duties to them, while he and the crew go to a CKY show, with his band member brother, Jess Margera. After a few antics in Amsterdam they come home to find the house decorated in Aprils 'Old-Fashioned' taste which bam totally hates. So he once again phones some of his contacts and has them decorate the house with a 20th Century gothic look, complete with Bams favourite band, HIM's Heart-o-gram logo.
I'd give this episode 3 out of 5. It's a good episode but not much seems to happen, there are funny moments of course, like bam throwing all the old furniture out of the window while April looks on in disgust. And the CKY show added something for the fans.
Episode 2: Dating Don Vito. In this Episode Bam finds out that the legendry rock band Slayer are coming to town, so he contacts them and asks them to do a show in his back garden, they agree so Bam starts construction of full size, concert stage but while he's at it he also gets the crew to build a indoor mini-halfpipe, and a pirate-themed bar. Bam also decides that Don Vito needs a date for the show, so they make it their mission to take him out and arrange what they think are suitable dates for Vito. But the dating doesn't go to well with Vito thinking that slapping women on the head is a good 'Pulling Point'.
This episode gets 4 out of 5, simply because it has a cameo from rock Gods Slayer in it, and the fact that the scenes with Don Vito dating the girls is hilarious, He has no knowlege of women whatsoever, with him hitting girls on the head thinking they like it, and then him rating at them with the trademark subtitles at the bottom of the screen.
Episode 3: Fat Boy Face Off In this episode Bam creates the Fat Boy Face-Off event and enters Phil and Don Vito, with them having no choice in the matter whatsoever. The events on show include, Hoagie Racing, which sees a sandwich attached to a hooked rope, which is attached to stick on each other the pairs backs, and they have to chase after it to get to the finish line, Spinning in circles until dizzy and then searching for a cake while Bam and his crew shout out direction for them to follow. And the suitably named, 'Slobstacle Course'.
Like the last episode I will also give this episode 4 out of 5. Any episode with the main emphasise on Don Vito is bound to be hilarious, and this shows extremely well in this episode. The part where he has to find the cake while blindfolded is hilarious, with him spending ages stood at the side of it but still not being able to find it. And then him going into another subtitled rant after learning he isn't getting anything out of it was very funny.
Episode 4: Mardi Gras Part 1. Bam decides to take the crew, and a whole bunch of skateboarders, including Tony Hawks and Jason Ellis, to the Mardi Gras weekend. They all go in RV's apart from Ryan Dunn who isn't ready intime so they leave him a mini-moped which does a maximum of around 30mph so that he can drive the whole way there. On the way there, much to Vitos annoyance, Bam and the
crew stop of at skate parks to have a session, sometimes even driving off course to get to one. The episode finishes which a teaset of what is coming up in Part 2.
I'm going to give this episode 4 out of 5. The antics that the crew get upto on the way are hilarious, Watching Ryan Dunn trying to make his way to Mardi Gras on a 30mph moped is extremely funny, And the Don Vitos annoyance at Bam and mainly Tony Hawks for wanting to skate all of the time instead of actually going to Mardi Gras is also very funny. If you like skateboarding this episode will be perfect for you, as it shows off lots of small skate parks and a whole bunch of pro skateboarders showing off what they can do.
Episode 5: Mardi Gras Part 2 This episode carries on from the previous 'Mardi Gras Part 1' episode and sees the crew going 6 hours off course to a skatepark suitably named 'Skatetopia' where they try doing a trick which only 2 people have ever done. Don Vitos annoyance with Tony Hawks continues because he is the eldest of the crew and Vito thinks he is influencing them to go skating instead of going straight to Mardi Gras.
I will give this episode 5 out of 5 because it is excellently funny. Seeing Don Vito go crazy is once again very funny. And with the little flashes of Dunn still driving the Moped it gives you something to laugh about constantly. Seeing the crew doing some crazy skateboarding trick is also very entertaining. And then seeing them bring there own brand of hilarity to Mardi Gras makes the whole episode.
Episode 6: Community Disservice. This episode sees Bam challenge April to do 5 good deeds that will benefit the community. She chooses, giving Phil a haircut, picking up trash from roads and motorway areas, reading to the elderly, giving away Bams clothes to kids in need (Which he isn't very happy about). While Bam builds a concrete half pipe for the kids, knocking down trees with the help of him his ATV Quadbike, and then re-planting them at the same old folk home April and Phil are at. The he gets all of the bags that April picked up and dumps them all through the roof on Don Vitos house, while Vito is still inside.
I'd give thie episode 3 out of 5. There are some funny bits but its not completely hilarious. Ryan Dunn accidently pouring the cement from the truck outside a gas station is very funny, as is him trying to explain what happened to the rest of the crew. The part where they dump garbage in Don Vito's house is also funny.
Episode 7: Tree Top Casino In this episode it's Arbor Day, and Bam knocks down one of the trees in the garden to celebrate. He then decides to build Fast Eddies Treetop Casino with Fast Eddie played by Brandon Dicamillo. When it is built Bam hires some wreslters to fight Phil and Don Vito in a wrestling ring below the casino.
I'm going to give this episode a mere, 2 out of 5. It is my least favourite episode of the entire season, not much seems to happen, and i didn't laugh much at all. The only thing I remember thinking was funny was the brilliant perfomance by Brandon Dicamillo has 'Fast Eddie'. It's not a terrible episode, but there are much better ones throughout the season.
Episode 8: Demo Derby Due to Bam destroying all of Don Vitos Cars through the seasons, he decides to take him to a used-car dealership to buy him a new one. But after seeing the low prices for them, he decides to buy 4 of them and take them back to his home, and have a Demolition Derby on his 14 acres of owned land. He gives some of the crew a car each, with Don Vito having a poo-car, which he is told has fake poo on it. But he once again goes mad when he find out its real. Then they all smash into each other to claim the prize of winner.
I'm going to give this episode 3. It is funny, but not really the best episode to finish a season on. When Vito learns that the fake poo is actually real its hilarious. And while having a Demo Derby in 14 acres of fun sounds good, I'm not really into that sort of thing so the episode didn't interest me as much as some of the others. Although it was very entertaining and definetly worth a watch.
Season 2 Conclusion
Overall it was a very good season as per usual, with lots of funny moments, and a very good replayability factor, I could watch most of the episodes over and and over and never truely be bored with them. The cameos from Pro skaters is a bonus to skating fans. And seeing slayer was excellent. The 2-part trip to Mardi Gras was probably one of the best of the entire 5 seasons. Overall 5 out of 5. Definetly worth watching.
Disk 2: The Complete Third Season.
This series includes Bam and his usual crew, causing extreme amounts of mayhem in everything they do. This uncludes, Bam turning his driveway into a skatepark Snake Run. Turning Phil and Don Vito into true Rockstars, going on a nineteenth-century pirate ship cruise and the excellent Prank-Off between Bam and the Original Jackass Johnny Knoxville. I will once again review each episode from the third season and then give them my own personal rating underneath each one.
Episode 1: Driveway Skatepark The first episode of season 3 sees Bam calling his friend Tim Glomb and arranged for him to construct a Skatepark in his driveway. While he gets to work Bam challenges April and Phil to go with him to Los Angeles to collect souveniers from celebrities to to pave into the skatepark. Phil and April collect. Golf Balls from when Adam Sandler was filming Happy Gilmore. While Bam and the crew meet up with rocker Tommy Lee and are given some drumsticks, A watch from Dave Grohl of Nirvana / Foo Fighters fame, a hat from N.E.R.D. and a pair of boots from Snoop Dogg. Meanwhile Don Vito is on his own little voyage to find the play boy mansion, but when he can't get in he goes crazy as usual.
I'd give this Episode 4 out of 5, It is very funny with Don Vito trying to find the Playboy mansion and then finally finding it but not being allowed to go in, So he starts ranting about how hes had a 'Prescription for 25 years. It also has lots of cameos from celebs such as Tommy Lee and Dave Grohl. It also has lots of skating so skate fans will enjoy this episode.
Episode 2: Uncivil War. This episode see bam finding a Civil war cannon in his back garden, so he goes to a nearby historical shop, and buys a cannon. He gets back home he and Ryan Dunn go down to the house's fuse box and turns the whole of the houses electricity off, And then goes on to announce to everyone that they are going to live in the 19th century with no elecricity or power. The next day Phil is woken by a knock on the door and he opens it to find that Bam had ordered a entire battle reenactment company, to reenact the battle between the Union and Rebel soldiers.
This episode has lots of very funny moments, especially with Don Vito trying his hardest to not let Bam and the crew have the cannon ball so that they stop the whole reenactment thing. It's also funny when Bam gets it back and fires it into the distance, then when they go to find it they realise that it hit and destroyed 'Fast Eddie's Treetop Casino'. I'm going to give it 4 out of 5.
Episode 3: Fort Knoxville. This episode starts with bam being awoken by a loud noise outside and upon investigating its source he finds is old friend and co-Jackass Johnny Knoxville, giving his hummer a 'makeover'. Which inturn starts an all-out prank war. These include Bam giving Don Vito the keys to Johnny's hotel room, and him laying half naked in wait for Johnny to show up. Bam arranging to have a bill-board set up with johnny knoxvilles phone number on, resulting in him recieveing around 400 voicemails from fans. Also Knoxville messes with bams food, by getting all his soup from a bowl into another bowl using just his mouth. And bringing his motorbike into the house to give Bam a rude awakening.
I'm going to give this episode 5 out of 5, It is definetly the best episode of the season and one of the highlights of the entire 5 seasons. The whole episode is extremely funny seeing Bam and Knoxville play against each other while pulling crazy pranks. Seeing the two of them back together for the first time since Jackass is brilliant to see and both of them are just as bad as each other and will stop at nothing when trying to humiliate each other.
Episode 4: Rockstars. In this episode Bam is arguing with Don Vito about his musical taste, and when Vito claims that anyone can become a rockstar, Bam puts his theory to the test. He arranges for Phil and Vito to become fully fledged rock stars, and have lots of training. They learn to dress like rockstars, act like rock stars, and give a stage prescence like a rock star. They meet up with Jimmy Pop and his band the Bloodhound Gang, to give them a example of how real rock stars behave. Phil and Vito then go on to give a hilarious show at a CKY concert.
This episode is very funny, it contains lots of hilarious anticts from both Phil and Don Vito. It has lots of cameos from celebritys including the Bloodhound Gangs Jimmy Pop and Evil Jared and the CKY band. Watching Vito make a fool out of himself is always funny. 4 out of 5.
Episode 5: Mutiny on the Bam Bam and his crew are causing chaos at home, and April finally breaks and tells them she can't take it anymore. Bam feels guilty so he tells her he will take them all on a cruise. She agress little knowing that its going to be on a nineteenth century pirate ship, and even worse, Don Vito is captain. They promise april the ship will stay docked but when the falls asleep they set sail and give April a rude awakening including a tiny squid. Then she goes mad again after realising they have set sail. Lots of chaos ensues, with them getting a warning from a Black Hawk Army Chopper after using the ships onboard canons to blow up a bar they built on a small island. To bam and Phil rope swinging into the sea and having lots of coastguard boats coming to rescue phil when he can't get back on.
This is a very good episode worthy of 4 out of 5. What can be more crazy on a day out that having the american army getting ready to attack you in a BlackHawk helicopter. There are tense moments too with the coast guards saving Phil from drowning. But also hilarity with Don Vito has captain while Bam and the crew are trying to make him be fired so they can try to make him walk the plank.
Episode 6: Angry Ape. Being tired of Aprils complaining Bam challenges her to not complain about anything for a full 24 hours. She agress but with Bam and the crew constantly giving her hell, it proves to be alot harder than she orginially intended. They set her up in locks of situations where she would normally complain, Such as Don Vito going to her art class to be a nude model, Towing her car away while she is in a restraunt and generally just causing chaos.
I've give thie episode 3 out of 5. It is pretty funny seeing Aprils expressions when things shock her, and theres lots of that in this episode. The moment she sees Don Vito walk into the room at her art lesson completely naked the look on her face is just hilarious. The things the crew get upto while trying to make her complain are also very funny.
Episode 7: Mall of Bam. When Bam finds out he has a skate demo coming up at the Mall of America he invites April, Phil Don Vito and the crew to spend the night with inside the mall. He gives everyone $100 and tells them to go spend it on the most ridiculous things possible. This includes Ryan Dunn paying for Rake Yohn to have his hair cut and make up applied to make him look like a very scary girl. Raab and Brandon going into a hot sauce store and sampling as many hot foods as possible. And Bam challenging Don Vito to only spend his $100 on food. Which he happily accepts. Then Bam locks April, Phil, Don Vito and Raab Himself into a bed store all night and goes with the rest of the crew into a DIY store and spend the night camping inside. Then in the morning they rudely awaken April, Phil and Vito by getting the whole crowd from the Skate Demo to run through the bed shop and make as much noise as possible.
This episode was very funny and easily deserves 4 out of 5. Spending a night in a mall where you can anything you want is alot of people dream, and they live that dream in this episode. The things what each person does with their $100 is also very funny, especially Don Vitos antics. And with another great skateboarding session it has something for the skaters out there to enjoy too.
Episode 8: Bamiature Gold. After once again trashing don vitos car, Bam places a wager with him to play a game of miniature golf, and if Don Vito wins, he will never wreck another one of his cars ever again. This is a challenge Vito easily accepts, so Bam and the Crew go about setting up a gold course with a bunch of crazy holes, such as the biker hole which has lots of real life bikers with the motorbikes on the course hitting the golf ball away from the hole, and the sucker-punch hole, where a giant boxing glove pops out of the wall and punches the golfer who is playing at that precise moment.
This episode deserves 4 out of 5. It is a very good episode to finish a season on and is thoroughly entertaining throughout. The different kind of golf courses they make are very funny. And Don Vito finally getting a chance of winning something for a change is good too see. I won't tell you the results of the game, but I will tell you it they are very shocking.
Season 3 Conclusion.
This season like the previous two, is extremely entertaining. With lots of hilarious moments, and the cameos from the excellent Johnny Knoxville, this DVD is perfect for anyone who was a fan of Jackass. I'd reccomend it to anyone and it will bring anyone hours of entertainment.
Disk 3: Special Features.
The special features on this DVD like Season 1 are also pretty funny, its mostly things they took out of the episodes and saved for the DVD. The list of special features include:Delected Scenes from both Season 2 and 3. Random-A** Moments Behind-The-Scenes Featurette: Making the HIM+ Video Photo Gallery Music Videos.
This Bonus Disk deserves 4 out of 5. It adds lost more funny moments, and around 80 minutes of bonus material. Fans of the Finnish band HIM will also like this disk due the the 'Making Of' video.
