...ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES - THE COMPLETESERIES3
Originally transmitted: 10/11/1983 - 25/12/1983
For anyone who has never watched Only Fools and Horses you are missing out on a wonderful part of our television history. Only Fools and Horses follows the lives of the two Trotter brother, Derek and Rodney as they try to earn a living in every way that they can. Unfortunately, more often than not this is through, shall we say, "alternative" means. The comedy is based around Peckham in South London and when the show first started, nobody even thought how successful it was to become. ...Gimme, Gimme,Gimme.
A Great British comedy.
One of the funniest British comedies in the last decade.
The plot is very simple; Linda shares a flat with Tom.
LINDA
Linda is a great big trollop with the manners of a diuretic pig and all the subtlety of a large brick through several plate glass windows.

Olive from "On the buses" after a night on the beer would best describe her.
But sadly, all she wants is to be loved.
TOM

Tom is a great big Puff, (according to Linda...

Advantages: Hilariously funny and unforgettable Disadvantages: None
...I purchased this box set after watching the series on TV. It is orignal, witty and hilariously funny and seems to have been written by someone who has direct knowledge of running a bookshop. My parents owned a bookshop before their retirement and many of the situations in this show struck a chord. My mother often felt the need to chase out the customers with a broom although thankfully never gave into the urge, My step father was once astonished to see a woman come into the shop, take a cookery book off the shelf and remove a pad and pen from her bag. She proceeded to stand in front of my poor speechless stepfather and copy out a receipe only to replace the book when she had finished and leave the shop. The phrase from the show "time wasting bstds" definitely rang some bells here.
I think the show is set on the outskirts...
