You turn on the Televison, the new drama series Lost is about to come on, you read the short bit of information about it and think that could be watchable...
Within the first five minutes your eyes are glued to the screen, watching what only can be descrided as one of the best things to hit T.V. since T.V. was created. Unusualy there is two pilot epesodes costing around the $10 million dollar mark, so now Lost is not only the best series on the screens but the most expensive.
The audience is hit with a Movie masterpiece of an opening where an aeroplane hits turbulance and the surviving characters awake on a island with now only half the plane. The first 30 minutes are mayhem when a doctor is trying to save the injured and gets the help from some other characters, including Dominic Monaghan, which you might know from Lord of the Rings where he played the hobbit called Merry. Many of the other characters you see in the first couple of epesodes are almost not known with the exception of Harold Perrineau, who played Link in the last two matrix films and he has played along side actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet, and he had quite a big roll in the 1997 film , The Edge with Anthony Hopkins.
Throughout the series, the viewers learn about each of the major characters bizzare and sometimes violent history. Many things happen in the first series, many things that make the viewers reliase that this is not just any normal desert island which then start sprouting the questions of, 'Are they actualy on earth' and the one that i love to hear, 'Are they actualy dead and in Limbo'.
Some small facts about Lost are that the First few epesodes all start with someones eyes opening, and many of the epesodes end with a funny character named, Hurley listening to music which then is played until the end.
Some viewers dismissed Lost after watching the first few epesodes, not knowing that it was to continiously improve making it the most talked about drama until the series ended on the 24th epesode where there are many twists and turns leaving it open for the second series which is to come on our Television sets soon.
The Boxset of 7 DVD's comes with some extra features that start by going inside the making of Lost to showing those bits that were cut out of the final epesodes -
° Lost Flashbacks All New Unaired Flashbacks ° Welcome To Oahu The Making Of The Pilot Behind The Scenes Featurette ° The Genesis Of Lost ° The Art Of Matthew Fox ° Audio Commentaries ° Before They Were Lost Audition Tapes And Personal Stories From The Cast ° Deleted Scenes
Overall i can not say a bad thing about it and would recommend it to anyone who likes action, drama, romance, comedy the paranormal/supernatural and situations that cannot be explained.
