...This film is a cut down of the long story of "LoneWolf & Cub", which is spanned across 6 DVD's itself!
So if you just want a cool samurai movie to sit and watch then this one is perfect, but if you want to go deeper into the story then check out "LoneWolf & Cub" DVD's, also known as "Babycart".
Although it is cut down, the story is still well put together and i still managed to enjoy watching it, so did all my friends who i borrowed it to.
I really like all the gory action, and the sword fighting, its just a classic, they don't make them like this anymore!
The story involves LoneWolf's wife being killed after he refuses to pledge allegiance to the head of a clan of samurai.
from there he seeks revenge, and kills everyone in his path (try to count how many he kills its a lot) along with his son who is still young and in a push...

Advantages: Smart, I like- Smart ass, I dont Disadvantages: Arnie doesnt get the real 'action' we all know he wants!
...Schwarzenegger is Kaminsky, a lonewolf cop working undercover to find the killer of his retainers young rookie son.
Arnie immerses himself in the mafia underworld and becomes Sam Wanamaker's ganglord right hand man. The bassy soundtrack is half of the success of this glorious testosterone fuelled gun-fest. From the way Arnie checks all his weapons (yes he pumps his shotgun and then looks at himself in the mirror) to the way he executes mafioso with that 'death face' this is another truly tongue in cheek performance from Arnold. Not a bad plot this time but the acting could be better and Schwarzenegger carries the film.
You may recognise a couple of the actors (one from Scarface and one from License to Kill) but in all honesty, only true Arnie fans can appreciate this film. Not his best work and cheesey in the extreme...

...In this, the fourth installment of the LoneWolf And Cub series of films, Ogami Itto (Tomisaburo Wakayama), and his infant son Diagoro must face the ferocity and savage beauty of Oyuki, the mistress of martial arts.
The story begins with Ogami and Diagoro visiting a village. Ogami leaves his son watching a group of travelling performers, but when he returns to collect him, Diagoro is gone. Having wandered off, Diagoro looks for his father, and walks into the fields of the surrounding countryside. He soon comes to a wayside temple, and when he enters he sees a ronin kneeling before the Buddha. Realizing that this man is not his father, Diagoro leaves to continue his search. However, the ronin, Gunbei Yagyu (Yoichi Hayashi), is an old adversary of Ogami Itto's, and he has recognised the child. Following Diagoro, he aims to be led...
