Music Hall Days is a truly wonderful DVD programme. It is released through Green Umbrella and is presented by Lionel Blair. The programme was filmed at the headquarters of the Grand Order of Water Rats, at the Grays Inn Road, London. The programme starts by shoeing some sombre shots of old closed down music halls. Crumbling ruins and demolition sites are their fate, now. The music halls, the implication was, will never come back. But as Lionel Blair points out, "we still have the songs of music hall." And, fortunately, many of the acts were captured on film. As Blair points out, there is more to music hall than "just" singing. Music hall encompassed all sots of acts, from "dancing to juggling." I bought this dvd about 3 months ago on Ebay. After loving his hit series 'PHOENIX NIGHTS',and watching 'Live at the Bolton Albert Halls',about two years previously I knew he was a class act,with a unique comedy style of his own. It wasnt up until just randomly coming across it on Ebay that I was reminded what a great and hilarious talent he is. I payed only 0.99p for the dvd,which had been used previously,but had come in great condition. Only yesterday,I saw it in HMV for 6 pounds,which is great value for such a great installment of laughs. The DVD is called 'Peter Kay,Live at the Bolton Albert Halls,as part of his 'Mum wants a Bungalow Tour'. Music From Another Room A Film For Lonely Nights

Advantages: a romantic comedy
Disadvantages: a chick film, no extras or special features

Music from another room was a dvd which I discovered in my local library and which I decided to watch on a Saturday night when my other half had gone down to the pub and I was in on my own with the wine and chocolates. The Plot Music from another room is a romantic comedy, the film begins with Danny visiting his father's friends for thanksgiving and the next door neighbour (an old family friend) Grace Swann goes into labour and as a five year old boy he helps deliver her baby girl, who Grace names Anna, from that moment Danny believes that he is destined to marry the beautiful baby girl that he helped deliver. All this is forgotten as Danny moves away to London and twenty-five years later he returns to his hometown after his fathers death.
