Liverpool - FA Cup Winners - Season Review 2005/2006 (DVD)

Advantages: Insight on behind the scenes of the club.
Disadvantages: Might get boring watching goals over again.

...Being a Newcastle fan myself I have watched a fair few Newcastle DVD's and I think they are amazing. They show you all the goals from the season, all the press conferences and all the transfers and what exactly happened behind the scenes of these transfers. It is a great insight to what the football club is actually like becasue on the TV on Sky Sports or Sky Sports News they don't give you the full insight of the club. They only show transfers and scores. Wheras the DVD shows you everything. If you are a Newcastle fan I would highly recomment this DVD and if not this DVD then certainly other Newcastle DVD's. Advantages: Great commentary and action
Disadvantages: Tough to follow 04/05 dvd

...I could honestly only give this dvd 4/5, not for its quality but purely for what it had to follow in the previous seasons dvd. The 04/05 dvd was special, it was the first league victory in 50 years, Jose's first season etc, this one comes close but falls just short. Unlike the side!! This season the title was pretty much done and dusted at christmas with a 3-0 home battering against Man Utd to compound the victory in April. I was there. The centinery season ended on a high but could have been better, another champions league semi final defeat to Liverpool is something you dont want to keep seeing. Great footage of the fortress that was stamford bridge, i think it was only one draw at home all season and records broken for least goals conceded at the start of the season and home undefeated record. ...A season review of the final season at Highbury, our beloved home of 93 years. It was also the season in which we reached the final of the Champions League for the first time in our history, only to tragically lose out after going down to ten men. In the league, we struggled to reach fourth place, needing a win on the final day to overtake Spurs. We were inconsistant away from home, and lost to teams we really should have beaten. If not for Thierry Henry and Jens Lehmann, who excelled themselves at the front and the back respectively, we would doubtless have been out of CL football for the following season. However, this was a historic season which makes this a DVD well worth getting. Firstly, because you can rewatch the highlights from our Champions League run.
