On Disc 1 is AC Milan v Liverpool, two giants of European of European footballing history. Before the match began, Liverpool were big underdogs. This was the way it was all the way throughout the competition. Unfortunately at half time these dreams seemed doomed as Liverpool were outclassed by some outstanding football by their Italian opponents. With Liverpool looking at the heaviest defeat ever in a champions league final it was hard to watch the second half.
But what happened in the second half was like something from your wildest dreams. With Liverpool 3-0 down and out, they somehow dug deeper than any team could possibly dig to first draw level (with 3 goals in 6 minutes) then take Milan to extra time. With penalties seconds away, Milan had a chance to win it, only for Jerzy Dudek to pull off one of the greatest double saves of all time to keep them in it. Dudek would again be the hero as his penalty saves won the European Cup for the fifth time for Liverpool; meaning that they kept the trophy for ever.
Re-live the entire game, plus extra time and penalties, as well as the after match celebrations.
On Disc 2 is- The Road To Istanbul. Starting from the qualifiers with Liverpool's defeat to GAK in the qualifiers, it shows you highlights and the goals from every game on the way to the final. With Liverpool 1-0 down at half time to Olympiacos in the last game of the group stage,Liverpool looked down and out. They needed 3 goals in the second half to qualify to the knockout stages,which seemed unlikely, as they had only scored 3 goals in all of their previous games in the group stages combined. But in the second half with Steven Gerrard, in dazzling form top the game by the scruff of the neck and scored a screamer to win the game 3-1 and put Liverpool into the knockout stages to face the elite of European football.
In the coming months Liverpool overcome both Juventus (Italian champions elect) and Chelsea (Premiership champions), to get all the way back to where they belong - THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL.

...final of all time, Undoubtedly! Liverpool 2005 European Cup adventure brought a rollercoaster of emotions to all true Liverpool fans, and will always be remembered. From the moment the tournement started Liverpool were cast aside from the favourite to take the trophey, and it seemed as though it was correct when they didnt have the best group stages, but a spark was lit in Liverpools fire when playing Olympiakos needing to score 3 goals after going ... ...Gerrards typical wonder strike shot Liverpool into through. Liverpool went on to beat Beyer Leverkusen, the then mighty Juventus and english rivals Chelsea. Liverpool faced up against AC Milan in the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul. Liverpool went 1-0 in the first 2 minutes breaking reds hearts everywhere, and then ended up being 3-0 down at half time and it now seemed impossible, but by some sort of a miracle Liverpool came out revieved and hungry, ...

I have followed Liverpool since i was 6 and this game was without doubt one of the most exciting games of football i have ever watched. There are two discs to this DVD set with the first disc containing comprehensive footage and build up to the final against AC Milan in Istanbul. Liverpool FC were certainly the big underdogs to the game as they had a few close games before getting to the final(Chelsea fans will know what i'm on about). Anyway ... ...Liverpool being 3-0 down and i was fearing the worst of a big rout but i said to myself that if they got one goal back then they had a chance.
The second half certainly was nerve racking and tense as Ac Milan had chances to begin with but then came the resurgence and 3-0 became 3-1, then 3-2 and then 3-3 all within the space of 6 minutes. This took the game into Extra Time in which no team scored so it was down to a penatly shootout to settle the ...

One minute we are losing a league game and falling further and further behind in the league, the next we are witnessing some magical and unforgettable games, i.e. Olympiakos, Chelsea? This DVD gives you the chance to relive that rollercoaster season in one night, all the goals and highlights of that road to Istanbul are on there together with some great interviews from ... ...of your neck stand up once again as the supporters belt out 'you'll never walk alone' as Stevie G and Co lift old big ears aloft with pride. A must buy not just for Liverpool fans but for all those neutrals who witnessed an incredible night. Well worth buying. ...
