A 25th Anniversary Celebration with "more than meets the eye" !!!

Advantages: An impressively accurate and very well made re-issue of a classic retro toy.
Disadvantages: The "dilemma" ... should I open and play or keep sealed and display ???

Packaged in a retro style box which has a small window revealing Optimus Prime in "vehicle mode" it is actually quite easy to initially dismiss this toy as nothing special but like the Transformers themselves there's "more than meets the eye" !!! This is because the box itself holds a treasure trove of 25th Anniversary merchandise and memorabilia including; * A die-cast replica of the original 1984 Optimus Prime. * A DVD containing the original animated Transformers mini series. * A replica copy of the very first Marvel Transformers comic. * An Autobot Insignia Electronic Voice Box (with speaks classic phrases). Night of the Living Dead: A true classic finally on blu-ray

Advantages: A fantastic way to watch a true classic
Disadvantages: Only one extra, would have been nice to see more

Night of the Living Dead is the daddy of all zombie movies. Yes there may have been films that featured zombies before this but none came close to creating the same world that George A. Romero managed to. A film that manages to truly define the genre and has been imitated ever since. Now for many years you've probably seen countless releases of NOTLD on every format. And apart from the Elite LD and DVD release, many of them have been sub-par being sourced from old video masters and sometimes even missing footage (for example the DVD release by Contender). So thankfully Optimum has decided that this classic film is worthy of a proper blu-ray edition. For a low budget, black and white film from the Sixties, this transfer is fantastic. The Young Ones Series 1 &2 - 25th Anniversary Ed

Advantages: all the episodes!
Disadvantages: nothing original extra :(

This is a double series set of DVDs to celebrate 25 years since the creation of the young ones on BBC. The Young ones was a sitcom broadcast on BBC two in the 1980's, written by Rik Mayall and Ade Edmunson it is about 4 students who attend 'Scumbag College' North London. Although set in north london it was actually filmed, well most of it actually in Bristol. The four students are called Rik Prick, Neil, Mike, and Vyvyan. Each can be seen to portray teenagers of different decades. Neil as the 1960's Hippy who studies peace studies, Mike as the 1950's 'happy days - like' Fonze (aka lady killer), Vyvyan as the 1970's Punk rocker (ironically studying to be a Doctor!), and Rik the anarchist studying Socailism.
