Literary Britain DVD

Advantages: Best of series one with great additions!
Disadvantages: Not everyone's cup of tea.

...Little Britain has become somewhat of a cult in Britain. And if you haven't watched it yet, you really should give it a go. Matt Lucas and David Walliams plays a whole mix of characters across Britain including Lou and Andy, Kenny Craig, Sebastian, Vicky Pollard, Marjorie Dawes and many more! The story follows all these characters with their varying problems in life. Vicky Pollard always getting into trouble, Sebastian fancying the Prime Minister, Daffyd wanting to be the only gay in the village, and much more. There are some great extras on this DVD including all the Comic Relief sketches, which includes Elton John being interviewed by Daffyd, the only gay in the village, George Michaels meeting Lou and Andy, and Robbie Williams dreessing up as a lady! Advantages: numerous sketches, something for everyone
Disadvantages: some sketches are boring and predictable

...as many of you may know Little Britain is very well known and very well made sketch show written and performed by david walliams and matt lucas. The sketches show the lifes of some very 'bizarre' people in the UK hence the name, "Little Britain." Some of the classic characters in this comedy that you may have heard of are lou and andy with their unforgetable catchphrase "yeah i know" also theres the delinquent chav 'Vicky Pollard' with her saying "yeah but no but." undoubtfully this is the best comedy of its type and is rewarded for by its huge fanbase. There are many sketches in this show and everyone has a distinctive favorite, my personal favorite is Marjorie Dawes with "Fat Fighters" which is a sketch about a weight loss club with the less than kind Marjorie. i would really reconnmend this dvd as i believe you will thoroughly... Advantages: Very funny as usual.
Disadvantages: Same old sketches, on stage.

...Don't get me wrong, i really like Little Britain, however every new series that is released seems to have mostly the same sketches as the first series had. So when Little Britain Live came out on DVD, i thought i would buy it to see if it had any new sketches in it. While watching it, it made me laugh a lot :D And i thought it was brilliant. However after watching it, i was yet again dissapointed that it was the same old comedy. It would be so much better, if Matt Lucas and David Walliams made some new, fresh sketches. The DVD extras on the DVD, were in some parts better than the actual live show and would give the extras 4 out of 5 stars.... Read review
