Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata (Animated)

Advantages: Absolutely hilarious in parts
Disadvantages: Interruptions

...scenes of moments from "The Lion King" throughout, and the movie is jam-packed with funny nods to other movies as well. Timon's wonderful "I love the smell of Pumbaa in the morning" cracked me up! However Timon and Pumbaa keep interrupting as if sitting in cinema seats. We just see their silhouettes, and at times it does get quite annoying, as it stops the story and the interruptions really aren't always that funny. The one new song "Dig A Tunnel" ...
...For a straight to DVD movie, I enjoyed this. It's true that having watched it I will never watch the first Lion King i quite the same light again, but Hakuna Matata is great! Well worth buying, but obviously, nowhere near as good as the first. Happy viewing....Hakuna Matata!! ... Read review

Disadvantages: Slightly annoying interuptions by Pumba and Timon

...is the 3rd of the Lion King series and, while being entertaining, definatly misses something of the previous 2. For one, the way it's set out with Timon and Pumba showing it as a film and popping up now and then with interuptions gets annoying and theres not that much original storyline. That said, I did like the way it 'padded out' the original story by showing more of what happened while Simba was still a cub after Timon and Pumba found him and ...
...much of it even though originally they weren't on screen. Though this film does lack in terms of quality, it is a harmless enough sequal of a sequal and I'm pretty sure diehard Lion King fans, especially those with a soft spot for Timon and Pumba, would enjoy this. ... Read review

...film out of all The Lion King films in my opinion! It shows the explanations behind the first film! Take the part out the 1st Lion King film...the part at the beginning when all the animals bow to the new prince...they are not bowing 'to Simba'...they are passing out and covering their noses because Timon and Pumba are walking through the crowd and Pumba being his normal self...broke wind! It also shows how Timon and Pumba became friends and how ...
...that 'The wise old baboon Rafiki' said to him because his family of Merekats don't want him in the colony! The film introduces two new fantastic characters, Timon's mum and Uncle Max! It has most of the characters in the film that's in the first...also there is some surprise appearances at the end of the film!
