I'm sure most people know this is the story of a lonely little girl who befriends a dog who is really an escaped alien and the mischief they get up to.
My two children aged 4 and 7 absolutely love this film. We went to see it when it first came out at the cinema and they wanted it on DVD straight away. The Elvis soundtrack carries on through the film - great if you love Elvis - hell if you don't. My two now know the words to 'Devil in Disguise' and my 4 year old has taken to laying down after a telling off and saying 'leave me alone to die' (lovely!!)! The colours and graphics are beautiful and the film has enough humour to leave most grown-ups with the will to live for the time it runs (about 85 mins).
The main thread of the story is that family comes first and no one is left behind - being Disney it's a bit sugary but I'd rather my kids were learning something like that than the usual bad-ass attitude messages of other dodgy American childrens films which seem to show alot on TV. The ending comes abit too soon but being Disney it's a happy ending and you're left feeling all warm inside (probably from all the popcorn you've scoffed)!!

I've still not seen this one athough my kids have seen it twice, they said it was great. Fiona.

You need to add a lot more information to get a higher rating off me! I expected Lilo and S to be one of those comedies for adults and kids, but i found it too childish! matt x x

Er...not wanting to sound like a dodgy American, but isn't Disney American? Sounds like a cute movie, have not seen it yet though. Take care, happy Ciao-ing:)
Advantages: Kids will like it, Elvis soundtrack, ocassional funny moment, 'cute' if you like that kind of thing Disadvantages: Lazy, lazy production. Disney morals(again), no surprises, not a classic Disney movie by any stretch of the imagination
Advantages: lovely quality of drawn animation, positive messages, realistic body forms and facial feautres Disadvantages: some of the extras could have been left off without harm
Advantages: Great soundtrack from Elvis, Original characters and nice family plot line Disadvantages: Its mad that the characters actually believe Stitch is a dog when he is clearly an alien!!
