Advantages: Enjoyable movie to watch, interesting culturally Disadvantages: Poor acting skills on many performers
...Welcome To Arrow Beach is not a movie I had heard of until a week ago; having read about it in the latest DVD Delirium book I decided I’d have to search this DVD down. Doing so is not an easy job here in the UK; having searched Amazon, Play, Loaded 247, and Shop4DVD I was unable to source the DVD. Even Ebay failed to conjure up the DVD, however in a brief moment of clarity (I have few of these) I decided to search on Ebay.com the US version of the popular auction site, where I found numerous copies of this DVD. Amusingly enough I found a UK seller that had the DVD for £14.99.

Advantages: Genius casting, Very humourous in places, Lots of British actors, Long film so value for money, Good special effects, Excellent DVD Extras, Johnny Depp, 'Gareth' from the office! Disadvantages: Some "wooden" acting in places, Could have been more involving with the audience, Plot development slightly weak, Many of the DVD extras need CD-ROM to use, Not for you if you don't like the typical pirate stereotype.

Keira Knightley was well casted as the young Elizabeth but there was something I can't quite place my finger on where the romance just didn't click properly in places. I think Orlando Bloom's character as the bold, courageous Will Turner was exaggerated too far in places and as a result the relationship between the two didn't seem as feasible as it could have been.
Jack Sparrow's intentions however, were far less honourable with his main goal to retrieve the Black Pearl, the ship that was captured from him by Captain Barbossa. The character depiction by Depp is pure quality as he satirises...
